January 2024 - According to a recent Capterra survey, 61% of businesses in India suffered a data breach in the past 12 months. Unsurprisingly, we also discovered that 82% of companies have increased their cybersecurity investments.
- 94% of cyber-aware respondents in our survey revealed that their companies actively employ AI to fortify their defence mechanisms.
- 66% of respondents reported encountering ransomware attacks, showcasing the pervasive nature of this cybersecurity menace. 48% of cyber-aware employees said their company fell victim to at least one ransomware attack in the past 12 months.
- 61% of surveyed organisations conduct formal cybersecurity risk assessments.
Cybersecurity Wake-Up Call: Phishing Hits Hard with 79% of Indian Businesses Affected, Workforce Advocates Cyber Training for Cybersecurity Resilience
January 2024 - Over Three-Quarters of Indian Businesses have fallen prey to phishing attacks in the past year
- 79% of surveyed employees reported receiving a phishing email within the past year, and a concerning 76% admitted to clicking on a link within these deceptive messages.
- 97% of employees already receive cybersecurity or data protection training. The most common topics covered include data privacy (76%), general cybersecurity (71%), and social engineering (48%).
- 84% of companies have protocols for employees to report attacks. 81% of respondents confirm the existence of formal incident response plans within their organisations.

March 2024 - The study presents an optimistic outlook for Indian companies, as remote and hybrid employees express notable contentment with the current state of collaboration. Participants consistently highlighted well-organised meetings with clear objectives conducted at reasonable hours, contributing to a comfortable working environment.
- Positive Sentiment: 47% strongly agreed, and an additional 40% agreed that their company utilises software tools conducive to effective meetings.
- Digital Collaboration Landscape: Email remains the dominant tool (68%), followed by document management software (51%). Emerging tools like screen sharing (62%), in-meeting chat (55%), and content sharing (54%) are transforming workplace engagement.
- Meeting Preferences: While 44% of respondents reported an equal split between virtual and in-person meetings, 27% favoured virtual meetings, and 29% preferred face-to-face interactions.
Two-thirds of Indian Employees predict a surge in International Collaboration in the coming year, says Capterra Study
March 2024 - India Leads in Daily Collaboration: Compared to 13 other surveyed countries, India takes the lead in daily collaboration, outpacing Mexico (24%) and English-speaking countries.
- Optimistic Outlook for Future Collaboration: Two-thirds of surveyed employees anticipate an increase in international collaboration in the next 12 months.

June 2024 - 83% of brand-loyal Indian consumers attribute their loyalty to the quality of products or services they receive. In a price-sensitive nation, consumers value quality (73%) beyond price (59%), alongside online ads (57%) and recommendations from family/friends (52%).
- Key Factors Influencing Online Purchases: Trusted brands (67%) and user reviews (57%) play crucial roles in online purchases.
- Disparity between browsing and purchasing destinations: 69% of consumers use social media to discover new products or services, but 65% make purchases on e-commerce sites, and 52% on retailer websites or apps.
- Preferred payment methods: 74% of surveyed consumers prefer digital wallets, followed by 68% using credit or debit cards, and 49% opting for bank transfers.
51% of Indian Shoppers Prefer AI Chatbots and QR Codes for Online Shopping, Finds Capterra Survey
July 2024 - The survey highlights a notable trend: There is a growing interest among online shoppers in AI chatbots, QR codes, and the impact of social media advertisements. Our study found that 51% of Indian shoppers now prefer using AI chatbots and QR codes for their online shopping needs.
- 72% of respondents use AI chatbots for product searches. 42% of consumers are influenced by AI-based recommendations, 41% by voice recognition, and 39% by AR/VR.
- 70% of shoppers made purchases influenced by social media ads.
- 65% followed a brand due to social media ads. While, 73% of shoppers are open to relevant ads, and 53% accept ads for new products.

22 August - 47% of project managers leveraging AI-enabled project management software anticipate a substantial increase of 20-50% in AI investments within their organization's project management function by 2025.
- 97% of respondents experienced a positive return on investment (ROI) from their company's AI project management technology investments.
- PMs believe that decision-making (43%), predictive analysis (40%), and project planning (37%) are the top areas where AI has the greatest impact on project management.
- 93% of surveyed project managers reported an increase in their use of EQ in their roles over the past two years.
