When I Work Makes My Scheduling Easy!

Comments: I was first introduced to When I Work when I started working here as a call-center agent five years ago. I've since moved up, and have been using it to schedule my team members for about four years. I find it incredibly easy to use, and I love the tiny details like colors and notations that can be customized down to the employee level.

Pros:

I love the color variations, the employee preferred availability, and the ability to go back or forth in time to view schedules.

Cons:

I honestly can't think of any. I love this product.

Very easy to use, with all the features we need

Comments: We upgraded from using a Google Slide template (yes, really) so WhenIWork was a huge improvement for us. We like that employees can easily see their schedule in their own timezone, and request to swap shifts with each other.

Pros:

Clear and easy to use, much better interface than its competitors, easy to review timesheets and organize schedules. The colour-coding lets everyone see their own shifts at a glance, and managers can easily spot any gaps in the coverage.

Cons:

When scheduling, repeating shifts can be a little clunky and isn't the best UI. But it's overall fine to set up a schedule with recurring shifts.

Simple and Easy Scheduling

Comments: It was alright. It did the job, it was easy to use for scheduling and organizing teams although I wish it had an option for clocking in and out and looking over timesheets

Scheduling is easy and everyone can have access to it

Cons:

Employees are not able to clock in and out in the app which would make it easier.

Constantly signs out employees, so have to log back in frequently

When I Work is great

Comments: This app is great. It's the easiest scheduling app there is. Not much to it but employees can message each other about any work related things or give shifts to each other. The schedule is easy to read and it even has time tracking so we can clock in on it.

Pros:

I love When I Work and it's easy to follow app. All of the important things like schedules and taking shifts is easy to access and manage. It also has a team messenger so we can communicate on there.

Cons:

I do not have any cons about When I Work

Comments: Overall, this is a great app for busy people who need an on the go scheduling app. I can quickly check my schedule and make changes when I need to. I am sure this is a lifesaver for employers trying to schedule multiple positions, especially, with a lot of part time workers.

Pros:

When I Work makes it easy to schedule around my available times. I can also pick up or drop shifts when I need to.

Cons:

It seems like I get logged off too often. I want to stay logged in for easier access. I'd like to have the option to mark shifts I am interested in and get a text message if they become available. Maybe this exists, but I need a quick way to modify my notifications and receive alerts.

Exeptional App for Scheduling Workers

Comments: I find that When I Work is a seamless way to schedule shifts for my part-time job. With When I Work, I can view and pick up shifts quickly without being distracted from my full-time job. In addition, I can request to drop a shift or pick up a dropped shift. There are a lot of great features to assist with scheduling numerous part-time workers, but as a worker, the ease of choosing shifts once posted is what I like most. I also like that I can sync my shifts with my digital calendar.

There isn't anything that I do not like about When I Work. In the two years I have been using this app, I haven't experienced any difficulties.

The easy to use sytem, is cheap and able to integrate with multipe payroll applications

not much that I can recall not liking other than the information piece of imputting the schedules which cannot be avioded

Comments: I was helping an acquaintance start a small company in a nearby city. Work shifts were all over the place and last minute needs popped up constantly. When I Work made keeping tabs on all that was going on, so much simpler! I could easily schedule employees and know I could count on this app to communicate it to them.

Pros:

Being able to access my schedule from my phone was super important. I remember working where schedules were posted on paper in the staff room. People would have to go in and either write down their shifts or put them into their phone manually. Thankfully, apps like When I Work have become much more popular and schedules can be sent to employees digitally. I appreciated how simple viewing and accessing schedules has been through When I Work. (It makes planning the rest of my life much easier!)

Cons:

The interface of the app is not very visually appealing. It's simple, which is what some may need. But I really appreciate a visually appealing, well configured app.

Comments: We love when I work! It's user friendly has everything your business needs and worth every penny!

Pros:

Everything is easy to use and schedule, everything being on one app and on the go is what we need in todays time being fast paced!

Cons:

Making sure I copy schedules and publishing instead of it doing that immediate.

Best Available

Pros:

The ease of use and how quickly employees catch on to using it

Cons:

Sometimes if the employees aren't looking they miss the clock in confirmation and that's frustrating to have to fix often.

Easy to Use!

Comments: Overall, a very easy & user-friendly app! I am sure some of the "bugs" are phone-related as well.

Pros:

It is very easy to clock in & out, as well as request time off. A very easy & straightforward app to use.

Cons:

Many times I find that my clock in or clock out submission does not go through - it's like the app glitches & doesn't allow me to do anything, so I have to reach out to my supervisor to fix my timesheet. But you can't tell that it glitched until you go back to the app to clock in or clock out again.

Comments: I have been using When I Work app at my workplace for sometime and I find it very convenient and easy to use. Works great for scheduling.

Pros:

It has a nice UI and very easy to use. It also gives you frequent reminders about your work schedule so you don't have to keep track.

Cons:

Sometimes the clock in/clock out doesn't detect the location properly and takes a long time.

Pros:

I consolidated clocking in, scheduling and team communication in one platform instead of three!

Cons:

That I can't start unique conversation threads for every topic that we need to communicate. We have our staff comment so we know they've read it and we have to keep adding it onto an existing thread....makes it confusing

Comments: I really like this app and I will use it again. on my nect job that offers it.

What is there not to like about the app, you get to see everything and all the days that you work and the days that you dont work.

Cons:

I wish that therer w ++++ I wish that there was an part where you could request the time to take off from the job or the day that you have up there.

When I work for us

Pros:

The ability to integrate ADP workforce. Saved us a considerable amount of time with payroll.

Cons:

We have 9 locations. We often use employees at different locations. We have to pay for users multiple times because there isn't a way to use one platform and have different locations. It's very much a hassle and causes errors to occur.

I would recommend this product!

Pros:

It is very easy to use and very user friendly. I have used it on the user side and have also helped my husband get employees set up on it for our business. My husband has always done the scheduling of employees on it. All and all, it has been very easy for us to figure out, as well as the employees downloading this app.

Cons:

On the employee side of things, sometimes I felt the amount of emails and reminders it sent me were a bit much, but maybe there is a setting for that I could have looked into.
