Comments: My overall experience with tally prime was good as a practising chartered accountant, I majorly provide services to small and medium size entities and it is best suited for them.

Pros:

Tally Prime is known and trustable accounting software which is being used by moat of the businesses. Its best suited for small and medium size businesses. User friendly and easy to use. Provides various final analysis reports in easy to understand format. This is budget friendly as small and medium businesses cannot invest in high rated softwares. It also provides multi user working and data sharing option. It also provides feature of accounting of applicable taxes such as GST, TDS etc. Provides inventory managemant facility to users. Overall a good accounting software with all required features, easy to use and in budget too.

Cons:

Does not provide specialized financial reports. Not compatible with cloud compounding, data mining or other artificial intelligence features. Does not provide auxiliary software service such as payroll, pos etc. Sometimes it is complicated go work in multiuser option.

Comments: My Overall experience of using this software for like a decade now is that it is so much easy to adopt in any kind of industry. also a person who is fresh can learn to operate this software in no time.

Pros:

The most likeable of this software is the usage and reliability of this software towards daily use in businesses. We can design this software so easily to meet all of our business needs. We can use this software from Issuing quotations to placing orders to suppliers and delivering those orders to customers. We can keep track of all transactions.

Cons:

There are no such cons of this software, but what I like least is that there is lack of interface to this software. we cannot change the display or views of reports.

Comments: Easiness of All kind of accounting that start from small business to large corporate users

Pros:

Auto updation of profit loss and balance sheet. Can switchover from any ledger to anywhere without any difficulty. Easy to use. Gst release made gst returns easy. Inventory management is also nicely incorporated. Cost management is also possible. Easy bank reconciliation is possible. Payment, receipt, contra, j.v all kind of entries and voucher are easy to use. Stock j.v can be used easily. All kinds of tax and statutory master can be used as per the requirement of user. Widely accepted in India. Best accounting software I have ever seen.

Cons:

It is best for accounting but at the same time person who is not familiar with accounting can not use it easily. Somewhat basic knowledge of accounting is required to use this software. Sometimes people who are commerce graduate for them also this software become difficult as there are many features so it may seems complicated at initial level.

Comments: Overall is good for accounts, inventory and gst

Very good for accounts and GST. Reports of account and GST related is available easily

Location was stock management was not up to the mark

Comments: Construction field is the most critical field than others. It is most difficult to track the materials.Tally prime gives implementation each category of inventory management that easily track the data and show in Details.I like to work in future also.

Pros:

Before I used tally erp9 , but Tally prime is great version. Easy to used in each Details exports in options are available. In Tally erp9 create purchase order narration not available but Tally prime the options is available.

Cons:

Narration is the best option easy to identify of each products I like to this option in available that can easy to work in my inventory management.

Comments: TallyPrime has been a very useful package, it brought professionalism to the accounting department with its professionally laid out reports and also simplified essential processes like Bank Reconciliations.

Pros:

It is fairly user friendly, has a very professional layout and and also has some great features like e-invoicing and auto-bank reconciliation.

Cons:

The layout takes some learning, but once learnt it's fairly simple to use

Great Accounting Software

Pros:

It is very efficient software that helps in performing accounting from both business and auditor's perspective. Has features that is connected to GST return filing, income tax and much more. Best part is inventory management along with salesman wise sales and commission calculation that makes life easy.

Cons:

I would suggest they improve the report generation in prime. it was a lot easier in ERP but prime has made it a little complex and time consuming especially GST reports

Pros:

It has a multiple features which makes easier to the user. This software gives overall data for audit compliance and financial review.

Cons:

Sometimes its feel lagging in different windows.

Comments: Overall I am using Tally from last 10 years and I am very satisfied customer of Tally

Pros:

Ease of use, all accounting features available, can be customize according to the need, report can be tracked any where with the help of internet.

Cons:

Systems gets hanged, many times systems need to be reloaded

Talley is the best I will never go to a different system!

Pros:

From start to finish this system is stupid proof it is the easiest most productive and efficient system to keep your business staying profitable and knowing your sales/product inventory and tips make it even better giving the whole team a push to do better and keep selling! My team loves the system we changed over once 5 years ago for two weeks and went right back to tally!

Cons:

Nothing I love this system I trust it. Easy. Simple. Productive. Cover all your bases and make it easy for you and your staff to use.

TallyPrime - In the Age of Cloud Solutions

Comments: TallyPrime is easily recommendable to small businesses and accountants. Although there is a learning curve for using shortcut keys, it becomes the best feature with long term use. It is easy to set up, and adding client data couldn't be easier. Data is secure as it operates in backup files. You may have to use another cloud based solution to raise customer invoices as there is no customizability when it comes to bills. And honestly, it is not very interesting to operate. It looks dull and accounting can seem even more mundane than it is. It is still widely used in India, and the pricing is better than most. Recommended.

Pros:

The most loved feature about this software is that you do not need a mouse to operate it, yes that is the best feature, that it can be used with only a keyboard as shortcuts are its forte. I wish other cloud based software had this ease of use.

Cons:

There is no customization when it comes to invoicing. We use a different cloud based bookkeeping application for raising customer invoices.

Comments: I would say Tally Prime is not only famous for India's Accounting Software but also global level too. I have worked on various Accounting Systems but Tally is something unique software, That's why we have also named our Tax Firm i.e Unique Taxfin Solutions.

Pros:

I am Professional Tax Consultant and Running my Small Practice since 2020 (After Covid Pandemic). Tally Prime is India's best Accounting Software. Now I can easily Manage my all Accounts, Track Receivables and Smartly Raise Professional Invoices from Tally Prime. This Software helps me a lot to in GST Compliance and to get accurate scenario of my business.

Cons:

Yes, I would recommend to Tally Solutions to get back function of Schedule-3 of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account for all Public and Private Limited companies. Whereas in Tally ERP.9 we used converted our Financials easily as per Schedule- 3 of Companies Act, 2013. So in Tally Prime this function is missing.

Comments: I am a user of Tally Erp 9 for seven years. I feel it is the best accounting software available in India.

Pros:

It is very easy to use and can be used by anyone who knows the basic accounting rules. Ledger creation in tally is very simple.Tally Erp 9 is very user friendly and can be used in small as well as corporate business enterprises because it has a lot of features. Any one can set it's features as per their requirements.Multi companies can be created and GST consultants and Auditors can easily take statutory reports and file GST returns through Tally Erp 9 very quickly.

Cons:

When we use remote control feature sometimes it takes more time. Statutory reports can be taken slowly if there is company with huge data.

Tally- Accounting Software

Comments: When we need to surrender tally from 1 computer to another computer we face some issue. I have done this as well but some time we face issue. I have installed tally ERP ,no have done backup it's very easy to use.

Pros:

Tally this software is very user friendly and you can say very intuitive. They have single user & multiple user licesense. On multiuser lisence we can access tally on multiple devices , computers, laptops. Even they have remote facility so you can give remote. Tally support also very nice.we have single user means Silver license. We are happy to using this. Our accountant can easily maintain all purchase, sale, payment , receipt, invoice entries. It is very easy to take data backup also.

Cons:

Actually software is good but when tally version we need to update they will charge for this. This charges for service support. And we need to update version manually. After all software is very good very light version.

A must software for all your accounting needs

Comments: We were able to deliver data in it's correct form that helped many sellers to understand their profit, their taxes, their stock out graphs which in-turn helped them understand and concentrate their business fall and rise from time to time and immensely helped them to sell more only those products which sells more. Helped in understanding their profit margins. Helped in catching where they were getting charged more and how to reduce that. We were able to help sellers in maintaining proper record which is legitimate according to govt policies as well thus giving them a smooth day to day experience of accounting and inventory management.

Pros:

multiple options to select. minimal data and maximum effect auto calculation of bills several menus to analyse and present data report export facility server-client option to expand it's usability options for VAT forms plugins import State wise calculation capability

Cons:

UI is not so simple how to use guide is not so easy to understand error messages does not specify or give suggestions to rectify it

Comments: I am handling all out vehicle inventory with TallyPrime. And also using for keep all our account data up to date and get clear report end of the day.

Pros:

TallyPrime is very well known company in this field. Since long they are providing this service in this field. I love there Accounting and billing system most and the user access system. There order management and processing system also very useful. I love there software.

Cons:

First of all I will say this software are long time in this market. So lots of things they improved already. But some of there feature need to improve for payroll system. They can add payroll and HRM to this system which will be more better. People will be interested to buy this more.

Anyone can learn it with a little practice. It is primarily appropriate for small-scale businesses.

Now that tally has been in the market for more than 3 decades, it must perform in accordance with the current market conditions. Need to handle large company accounts, add advanced features, improve graphics, and provide high-end customer support. Tally prime requires more compatibility than other accounting software.

Maintaining accounts is easy with tally

We are using Tally for maintaining our accounts. The features are awesome and its very understandable. They have provided the shotcuts and keys to make our work easy. We can also create our tax files directly from it. We recommend tally to everyone for accounting solutions.

Cons:

Personally we are happy with the product but we think that the price is quite high while purchasing it for the first time. They should reduce it so that everyone could take benefits of Tally erp 9.

Best ERP Solution for properly maintaining the Books of Account and a Useful tool for Audit Purpose.

Pros:

1) Helps to maintain the Books of Account properly of any business entity. 2) Efficiently runs the large data. 3) Back-up feature ensures data safety. 4) Tally provides mobility. Tally allows its user to access their account remotely through Tally.Net facility which ensures that it can be accessed from anywhere through internet. 5) Features of Audit and Compliance is useful for Audit work. It saves time and increases the efficiency of Auditing. 6) Reports like Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Account are useful for analyzing the financial position of the entity.

Cons:

It is less suitable for Large organizations but it is a perfect solution for small and medium size organizations. It works as per the requirements.

Extremely good accounting software, if you have an accountant

Comments: As an accounting firm, Tally was perfect if we had the entire work of the client's administration. However, when a portion of the work is shared with the client, there is a huge pushback from non-accountants. This make it's deployment very hard due to rejection by end users.

Pros:

The database design and it's function are almost perfect. Everything works. The reporting and audit trail in Tally are second to none including many top players in the industry.

Cons:

The UI is extremely unpleasant for non-accountant (and for some accountants as well)

Comments: I am belonging to Accounting and taxation industry, we required this type of software very often. We recommend our clients to use Tally for Accounting.

Pros:

There are lots of pros in this software, some of are listed below - 1) Easy to use 2) Multi-language supported 3) Multi-currency supported 4) Import-export from and to excel 5) Various reports, statements required for the compliance process provided 6) It can create users so accountability for work is created. 7) Tally support for the queries is very good

Cons:

There are no cons as such in this software I found. It is a good software for accounting. Hence widely used in India.

Great software but looks costly and a bit hard to use

Comments: The overall experience is great but again the same thing , that is it's competitor like Busy are providing the same feature with more simplicity and at a less price

All the features of tally are good and it have a great security of data also , so you can surely go with it . all the features like invoicing , ledger maintaining etc. . works perfect

The thing I don't like about this software is it's price because it seems expensive , and is a bit complex also for any normal person
