Physical Asset Tracking Necessity

Comments: Asset Panda is an excellent solution for a use-friendly asset management and tracking software that is flexible and easy to implement and use long-term. The downside is the one-dimensional platform for physical assets. I wish Asset Panda had a more in-depth project management and gantt feature that also coupled with personnel management. Then it would be unstoppable.

Pros:

I love the barcode printing, labelling, and scanning. This allows for real-time physical asset tracking and inventory management. No more losing or guessing where our equipment is!

Cons:

I didn't like the limitations regarding in-depth and detailed parent-child asset relationships. This was a necessity for us as we needed to "nest" equipment inside other equipment and be able to track all of that together and also separately.

Asset Panda has been a lifesaver in keeping track of all our company's assets! It's easy to use and incredibly efficient.

Pros:

I love the customization options and the ability to access the software from anywhere. It has made asset management a breeze!

Cons:

The mobile app could use some improvement in terms of functionality and speed. Occasionally, syncing issues arise.

Comments: My overall experience with Asset Panda has been very positive. The platform is easy to use, incredibly flexible, and highly efficient in managing assets. Asset Panda has streamlined our asset management process and improved accountability, making it a valuable tool for our business.

The best part about Asset Panda is its customization capabilities. I also loved the mobile app's functionality, especially the barcode scanning and asset check-in/check-out features, which make managing assets on the go incredibly easy and efficient. The pricing model is based on the number of assets rather than users, which can get costly for businesses that need to track many assets. Additionally, the learning curve for advanced features like API integrations or custom workflows can be steep, requiring some technical know-how. Digital Asset Management

Comments: We have been using Asset Panda since 2021 and have all our assets here for monitoring the usage in different teams, levels, departments and also work on optimized retrofitting of our retiring assets.

Pros:

The way I can store and manage my asset inventory in a systematic format with serialized and sequential numbering format.

Cons:

the restrictions to not create certain type of workflows or hierarchy to see high level asset view and then break it down to each individual asset

Great tool & service

Comments: Signifcantly streamlines asset management processes. Customer service is wonderful.

Pros:

The layout is super clean and easy to navigate which is crucial and makes onboarding easy. There are so many customizable options and customer servie is great and quick.

Cons:

Limited functionality when offline and not in wifi, but thats all i can think of.

2021 Review

Comments: So far I love it, it was allot of work to get it to where it is now but now that its set up its made my life and other IT coworkers job so easy.

Pros:

Once setup it is very easy to use and way less paper work envloved.

Cons:

In our particular case we have users set to only have the Assets tab, that means they don't even have the settings page as users use SSO and it is not needed. The biggest issue is that it brings users to a total asset count page that is irrelevant and confuses the user when logging in and trying to sign for assets. All they need to do is click the "Asset" tab at the top but with it being the only tab they don't think its a button. I just wish there was a global home page settings for user templates instead of having to go in and set users manually. Users come and go often so its no ideal for us to make that change to each new user. So in summary I would love to see a global home page option for users templates.

Cheap, Easy to Setup, Easy to Maintain

Comments: Overall Asset Panda has solved many headaches and saved hours of time within our organization and we love it for that. The few times we've needed support or help with a setting the Asset Panda support team has been quick to respond and given us a solution each time. The support is one of the best things about Asset Panda

Pros:

When we rolled out Asset Panda within our organization we had help the whole way from the support team. We have used it for more than 2 years now not only for asset tracking, but for inventory management, and reservations. It has solved many headaches within our organization and saved countless hours, and even more money by helping us easily track location and status of equipment.

Cons:

While Asset Panda does have many features, some of the features such as the reservation side of things is not fully optimized. The main feature set of Asset Panda is great (Asset tracking, and inventory management in our use case) but some of the "add-on" features are not as comprehensive and leave you wishing there was more functionality.

Asset Panda has allowed us to centralize and track all IT assets

Comments: The college has had a great experience with AP since we started using it, it has allowed my team to manage and track inventory of all IT assets that we hand out to our employees. It provides reporting that assists with our yearly refresh of laptops.

Pros:

GUI interface ease of use, accessible across multiple locations as it is web-based. Easy to maintain and update assets and customize fields.

Cons:

We do not have any cons with the product, we find it to suit our environment and needs perfectly.

Tool to track your rented equipment and collect payments

Comments: This tool also helps track and do routine maintenance on the laptops/computer and printers which is critical when we are renting the devices to our tenants.

Pros:

We use this tool to track IT equipment rented out in our flex offices to tenants who use the space on temp and long-term basis.

Cons:

We have been using it for a short time in that we found collecting rentals for equipment is easy, but we are still trying to integrate it into our property management tool. This will ease our tenants to make payments on one platform.

Suitable for diverse inventories!

Comments: I helped a friend of mine choose this product for her company. So, basically, she told me that she had an incredibly diverse inventory and the fields for one asset couldn't relate to that of another. There were many other problems that she was facing. However, after implementing the use of Asset Panda, things became a lot easier. She told me that there was a bit of an initial learning curve, but she felt very content and accomplished when she realized she built everything without an expensive developer or purchasing any hardware. Asset Panda may be expensive to implement but it is certainly worthwhile. The return on investment could easily trump your initial investment in no time. Sadly, for me, this software cannot be applied to my work environment or in any of my private side businesses. But if there ever is a need for it, I wouldn't think twice about using it. And judging by the feedback I got after referring it once, I am 10 times more likely to do it again!

1) User Interface: Asset Panda is fairly simple to use and can integrate well with almost any environment - no matter how complex it is. 2) Mobile App: The great thing about Asset Panda is that it has a mobile app that you can use. The app makes it possible to scan barcodes, search for assets and even update them, if necessary, while you're on the move. 3) Audit Feature: Asset Panda has an Audit Feature that enables you to go in-depth and check out the timeline of what people did with their assets. 4) Budget Friendly: Asset Panda is like a turn-key inventory solution that allows you to design and build according to your own requirements, based on your environment. The best part is that you don't need to hire any developer. You even don't need to waste time on purchasing expensive licenses or hardware. 5) Cloud-Based: All data is saved on the cloud and can be accessed from anywhere and at anytime with your credentials.

Cons:

1) Sessions Time-Out: Okay, in my opinion, the most annoying part about Asset Panda is that its' session timeouts are way too fast. If the time-out setting on the website could be increased, that would be amazing! 2) Barcode Scanner: I feel that the bar code scanner on mobile devices can be improved a bit.

Excellent Asset Management Tool

Comments: Overall, it has been a great initial year with the subscription and we are signing up for a longer term commitment. It continues to grow as a tool for our company and have been pleasantly surprised at the capabilities and support Asset Panda has exhibited.

Pros:

Being a small/mid-sized business we have struggled to keep track of fixed assets along with operational assets. We have been unable to accumulate data and with Asset Panda's help it provided an affordable platform to begin transitioning to a more modernized and sophisticated way of management. Having an unlimited number of users was one of the key factors along with an effective application that could be leveraged on mobile devices. We continue to identify more ways to leverage this platform and feel like we get a lot of value for what we pay. The support team and onboarding group was and is very impressive and always get prompt and timely responses to help resolve a situation or question.

Cons:

There can be some short comings on the reporting and wish it had a little more sophistication in the fixed asset accounting aspect but that is something we have been able to work around. No major complaints except we sometimes run across some configuration limitations but overall the framework is flexible for any and all industries that you can usually manage it and work around to a resolution.

Asset Panda is Asset to Have

Pros:

Extraordinary experience from working with an account administrator to execution trained professional. This will assist us with following our resources for day camps, studios, and other events. I don't see what is going on where this product wouldn't meet the prerequisites. It is inconceivably adjustable and permits you to record any kind of resource.

Cons:

My main test is the absence of restrictive fields while performing activities.

Comments: It has been very pleasant. Each person on your team is very professional.

Pros:

It is cloud based and can be accessed from any computer.

Cons:

Adding our predefined forms is time consuming. And certain features/actions are not user friendly. I had to on a few occasions have a video call with a representative to walk me thorough a certain feature. Afterwards, I would have to review the video several times to complete what I needed.

Solid flexible choice

Comments: We get a lot of use from the data that we have in the system. We like having access to the data in the phone app, and using the barcode scan options save time. It's been a great decision to move forward with this tool, and it continues to improve and do more for us.

Pros:

This software is highly customizable, and has grown increasingly more robust over the last couple of years. It was easy for us to import all our old data and get started. We use it to track computer assets and inventory, and we have been able to tweak the setup to make it work better for us over the last 3 years as we learn more about what it can do, and what we need from the software.

Cons:

There are some times in the screens were you can accidentally make changes to your whole inventory, rather than just a few items, and it's not really clear that would happen. They are working to improve that process, but that's been our biggest problem.

Asset Panda was an unexpected surprise as a very powerful tool for business

Comments: My customer was having trouble with a lot of IT assets that were not properly managed. They suffered big financial damage for stolen or "lost" assets, and also for purchasing some parts or equipment since they had none, only to find out days after that there was actually a proper stock. Now, the IT team can provide agile response to users' requests, they are anticipating waranty and licensing renewals, and they are doing a lot of reassignment of compute and mobile devices since now they can match device specifications to job descriptions and roles, thus optimizing the way assets are being used.

Pros:

The customer was able to start getting value from AP in a few days, even when there wasn't enough information to feed into the system. Since they were previosuly doing no asset management at all, they were worried about having a very long adoption curve. The truth is they were able to put whatever basic information was available and the, day by day filling more as they were able to dedicate time to this task once they had no need for manual processes. The customer has already in place a lot of Zendesk integrations, so they felt AP was a very nice new member of their IT ecosystem. For me, the most value comes from the fact that they have not need any tech support for using the system, so consultancy time has been mostly focused on obtaining new information to put into the system. The mobile app's integrated barcode scanner was an unexpected benefit which made the customer really happy.

Cons:

The lack of a current working integration with Salesforce was an stopper for a bigger project with a new customer. For some current customers that I'd like to offer AP as a new solution I have the problem with integration with GRC systems, mostly for compliance with ISO27000 and some other process oriented and cybersecurity frameworks. The API is currently not as friendly to use for this kind of integration.
