Dropbox is Essential to our Business

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: Overall we like Dropbox a LOT and use it every day. If I had the option I'd go back in time and have started using it earlier.

Pros:

Dropbox for business is one of the most essential business services we use. To be honest we used the free version for many years, then upgraded several times until we got to where we are now. We are willing to pay for the cloud storage because it secures our data off site and allows us to access it out of the office. That doesn't seem like a big deal today but it wasn't always as easy as it is now. We basically use it as a file cabinet and keep about half our active files in it and use it as an archive for all our old files. It's accessed every single day and at this point we couldn't live without it. I highly recommend Dropbox for Businesses.

Cons:

One of the main cons is that we are not able to have multiple people working on the same document at the same time like Google Drive. So we have pivoted and keep more of our PDF's and non living files in Dropbox.

OG File Share

4.0 last month New

Comments: Lovely and the mobile version was decent. We mainly moved due to Google including drive in its suite.

Pros:

Dropbox business was sleek and streamlined. It was extremely easy to organize files and to share them with individuals.

Cons:

Since this was early to the market and set the standard, I feel as though innovation and new features just didn't happen enough.

The inventor of cloud service is still the best but has not evolved that much

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Just the best file cloud service around. It could be more (mail missing, paper not really a solution, passwords not always working with many browsers)

Pros:

The best for bandwidth management. A robust cloud mirror management. An effective filetransfer solution.

Cons:

Sometimes not the best integration with MacOs finder (icons and mouse menu disappearing). Still the cache management could improve (especially when you're freeing up space). Not the all the add-one were really needed or are well working. For a cloud service that aims to become a digital workplace, I miss an integrated mail service (like gmail or zoom mail)

The Best Choice for Teams

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: When our project got larger than the initial scope, the Dropbox Business account was the only reasonable choice, relative to the high value per dollar it brings for its mostly-seamless cloud storage.

Pros:

It's the industry-standard for team-accessible document sharing.

Cons:

Syncing can be problematic, if I can't get reliable internet to my MacBooks.

Easy to edit documents

4.0 2 months ago

Comments: Dropbox Business met our needs although it could be better with some small changes.

Pros:

Dropbox Business has a desktop and mobile app. I prefer the desktop app. Frequently used shortcuts are large and located in the middle of the screen. Deleted files stay in a trash folder which can be convenient. Administrators have discretion on file sharing and commenting. Team folders are another convenience, everyone on the team can view the files. Public folders allow anyone to view it until the expiration date. Password is optional. It is easy to edit PDF documents and add annotations such as highlighting. Customer support options are actually plentiful, they include a help center, PDF guide, email, chat, and phone. Data safety is high.

Cons:

Dropbox Business is expensive and some services are not included or are add ons (data governance for example) Photo editor is not as good as I expected. Dropbox Paper is included with the subscription however it will not read files from another service which is problematic.

The main player in its field

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: A solid and very well-known and estabilished file sharing service, with thousands of 3rd party integrations and solid features to store and sync your files and share or collaborate as needed. A first-class player in the field, and for good reasons.

Pros:

Huge space available, with a nice UI to manage your files in an intuitive way, and a desktop and mobile app to access, sync and backup you stuff.

Cons:

It is quite pricey for personal use, although it gets a bit better with annual contracts and business tier (but you have to have at least three users and pay for each one).

Pros:

Free Cloud usage, user-friendly, sync features, and can work offline. Able to work remotely.

The file-sharing takes up more space even when files are deleted. Dropbox personnel can see my documents. And can become expensive.

Run your business efficiently using Dropbox Business

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: The main problem being solved with Dropbox Business is that the team is spending less time on the phone contacting each other regarding changes, as everything is synced in real time. Therefore, this has been a huge money saver for the company on telephonic costs.

Pros:

I specifically like the real time synchronization, as the time is able to work on documents together and see changes as they are made. Another feature is document storage, as we're now able to eliminate printing and printing costs. It has been a very easy transition moving from everything being paper-based, to now being 100% paperless.

Cons:

Depending on the pricing plan chosen, Dropbox Business provides varying storage capacities. While higher-tier plans offer generous storage space, some businesses with extensive storage requirements may find the allotted storage insufficient. Additional storage can be purchased, but it may impact the overall cost. As Dropbox Business primarily operates in the cloud, it heavily relies on a stable internet connection. In situations where internet access is limited or unreliable, users may face challenges accessing or synchronizing their files. Offline access is available, but it requires manual setup and may not offer full functionality.

Dropbox review

5.0 11 months ago

Pros:

With its quick, dependable syncing and user-friendly file and folder sharing, Dropbox continues to be the finest choice. All of your files are online and cloud backed up using Dropbox.

Cons:

Despite numerous updates over the years, Dropbox's UI remains unintuitive, making it challenging for professional use. Second, in order to keep files synchronized, Dropbox needs a lot of storage space on your local hard disk.

Pros:

Cons:
