Great experience in EDC implementation with Viedoc
Pros:
During the implementation of the EDC module, the Viedoc team displayed a high degree of competence, flexibility and responsiveness. We received smart advices from the programing team. The Project Manager is very custom orientated and addressed our requests and questions instantly. A great team which delivers timely and with high quality.
Cons:
All worked best and all our requirements were met to our satisfaction
Alternatives Considered:
Viedoc, the EDC of choice
Comments: The EDC database and associated tools are easy to learn, design and use. Viedoc as a company are easy to work with in provision of quotes, contracts, system access and support.
Pros:
Training database available to train my team as well as to initiate database development without cost to our clients. The training videos are excellent for introducing potential clients to Viedoc as well as supporting novice users. The EDC system presentation and workflow is user intuitive.
Cons:
Reference data set up is tedious and repetitive.
Study build experience
Pros:
It is fairly easy to work with, user friendly once you get used to the structure of it. Very helpful team during study build.
Cons:
It is quite complicated to review and comment on the design during the study build process. Not always easy to follow all the steps with different excel sheets and names of review steps.
Best Value for an EDC!
Comments: Excellent customer service/support and a great value for the product.
Pros:
The software is incredibly easy to use from both the designer and clinician perspectives. This makes it efficient to build, deploy, and train new sites for any study. For small medical device companies, efficiency is key.
Cons:
There may be some advanced features that are available with larger/more expensive EDC systems. However, Viedoc has done a great job incorporating feedback for improvement. One feature that would be nice to add is expanding the customized reporting tools. Currently, any report is possible with some R coding, but it would be great to bring that into the low-code nature of the rest of the platform.

Our Daily "driver"
Comments: So great. Innovation. Modern Interface. Easy to program/code. Flexible. And priced right. PLUS, their team is so flexible with pricing and timing.....that is huge for us and our clients.
Pros:
We have used many EDC systems and we have almost exclusively come to using Viedoc for all our clinical projects both pre market IDEs and post Market studies. The value for the cost and the modern interface were game changers for us and our clinical sites. In addition, I can't say enough about the support from the Viedoc team and the flexibility with pricing and study start up. We work with a lot of smaller clients and their studies are always getting delay or moved due to FDA/Regulatory issues/surprises and not having to be locked into paying at a set time is a huge deal. We recently had a surprise issue come up with an FDA IDE study and the company's roll out of a pilot study got pushed 6 months. The database was built set up and ready to use. However, due to this issue the company couldn't start the study until some other data was gathered. No problem with Viedoc, their team doesn't start billing until the 1st patient is in. Previously that client had used another well known company (that I would love to name) and their billing and ethical practices are so poor that this delay would have cost them real $$. However, they were delighted with Viedoc and their flexibility. In addition, we build the database ourselves and it is easy to build with modern tools and super flexible to customize. And it seems like every time we implement a new DB build, there are a ton of new features. No system is perfect but so far this exceeds our expectations and our clients too!
Cons:
We don't use their CTM system. I think they have done a lot of work on that piece but we have our own in house and it works for our process better. I wish there was a way to customize theirs a bit more. Just a minor comment.

Hi Bill! First of all, many thanks for taking time to share such a detailed review. Getting this kind of feedback is really confirming our thoughts about the importance of flexible pricing. We are very glad that we are able to support you and your clients and hope to do so many years to come. Thanks again. // Viedoc
Feasible EDC for Phase I and IV trials
Pros:
Ease of building studies in Viedoc EDC, with multiple inbuilt functionalities. Cost of conducting a trial is less than competition
Cons:
More stability needed for Phase II-III trials.
Amazing eCRF system
Comments: Using Viedoc, eCRF can be built quickly because of the flexibility of the design mode. The designer can set up forms in parallel with the definition of edit checks performed by the programmer; in addition, it is very easy to set up the eCRF by personnel with minimal programming knowledge. Thanks to e-learnings, available for all activities and detailed with pictures and videos, navigating the system is very easy as is the use of all the necessary features.
Pros:
- eCRF design preview very appreciated - Code debug feature in edit checks development mode- User friendly- Easy navigation- Reports function for data reviewing
Cons:
After the GoLive of a new version/revision of the same eCRF, sign/CR/SDV break of the forms involved in the changes may occur.

Thanks for your positive feedback. Much appreciated. Please note that breaking of SDV/Signature/Review only occurs when there have been updates to the forms that in fact should break these statuses.
Flexible software and the Best supports
Comments: Viedoc has shown that EDC could be built so quickly when we have the limited time to Go-Live. With the flexibility in EDC design, the developer can build the forms whereas the programmer can set up the edit checks in parallel. The design and setup can also be viewed during developing. Viedoc are continually improving all the time to make the EDC designer’s, with minimum knowledge of programming, life easy and the system is also increasing more functionalities to cover the clinical research activities. The cross-functionality team are also able to work together in one system, in Viedoc Clinic, and the sponsor can see the study status with a glance. Furthermore, customer and technical supports are always quick and helpful.
Pros:
EDC designer is easy to use and flexible for the designer and programmer can work at the same time.
Cons:
It would cover the process if the Logistics could connect with the warehouse and trigger to the warehouse to ship the IP automatically.

As a designer
Pros:
Easy of use, both for Designers and Administrators. Very easy for users to navigate
Cons:
I'm missing "Back to Top" button if you are very far down on a form as a designer.I also would like the box with the items to follow me as i scroll down on the form, now if i want to add an item far down on a form, i have to scroll all the way up, and hold lef t mouse and drag it all the way down.

Thanks for your feedback and happy to read you find Viedoc easy to use. The issue you are experiencing in Designer is addressed in the new UI (including many other improvements in general). We will share more details on this once we get closer to release.
Very functional. Streamlined design and setup. Tremendous support from start to finish.
Pros:
Overall ease of design, implementation and usability through all elements of a study. The design, UAT and start up processes allow us to get to study start faster and with less cost than other systems. The system's intuitive and attractive interface makes it easy for users to come up to speed in a short amount of time. On the backend, the available data management tools are helpful during the study and quite sound for managing final study data.
Cons:
The need to jump in and out of the AE, Conmed and Med History pages to find sequence numbers for related items is inconvenient. Also, the lack of autopopulation for Conmeds from the WHO Drug dictionary is also inconvenient, although I understand that may not be an issue in PCG's control.

Thanks for your review and feedback! Getting valuable feedback helps us a lot in deciding on which features to add to Viedoc. I am happy to let you know that we have planned support for referencing CM, AE, and MH data during this year. Auto-coding is also planned for. Many thanks for your positive review and your continued support. // Viedoc
User friendly and reliable EDC system
Pros:
Viedoc is very user-friendly and easy to use. As a data manager, I was able to design forms quickly, on my own, thanks to the helpful eLearning documentation and videos. The support team and the Viedoc team in general are responsive and professional. The system is constantly improving with regular updates which is not the case with all systems.
Cons:
Managing the roles and rights associated with a specific design is difficult. We often need to add roles or change specific rights during the course of a study and creating a new version of the design (with the impact on data management that this entails) is restrictive. Importing a list of users based on an excel template could be a time saver for user creation.

Hi Franck! Thanks for valuable feedback. We love to read when clients are able to do things quicker and easier in Viedoc than they have been able to do in the past. This is what it's all about isn't it? At least for someone setting up studies. Agree with you on roles, a tip from the coach is to double check the roles needed incl. the user rights before the trial starts, this will save you some extra work. Batch upload of sites and users is in the pipeline and planned for 2022. Thanks for your support. // Viedoc
Viedoc - our eSuite for clinical studies
Comments: Viedoc is very easy to work with and it has an appealing layout. I can see that the company is actively working on developing their products to meet the needs with the developing digitalization and decentralization of clinical trials.
Pros:
Viedoc is very easy to use and it fulfills all the necessary criteria needed for data capture in clinical trials. It enables integration with other systems when needed. The eTMF/eISF are very welcome features that were released during 2021 and we are already using features that enable decentralized study activities successfully.
Cons:
There is no CTMS functions as part of the eSuite from Viedoc.
Viedoc Review
Comments: The greatest benefit for our data is edit check programming in Viedoc.
Pros:
The colorful design style and general layout of the software is very user friendly and makes it easy to use for mostly everyone, good documentation (but many users prob. dont read it - accessability thereof (e.g., search, integration) could be improved)
Cons:
While advancing in Viedoc use, you start to see some limitations - sometimes little bugs, more often functionality that is not there. It is not clear how feature requests are handled.

Hi Christina! Thanks for your valuable feedback. Happy to read you see the value of how edit checks are programmed in Viedoc. When it comes to feature requests, we try to be as transparent as possible but there is of course always room for improvement. If anything is not clear regarding functionality, please reach out to our support team.
Excellent tool for EDC and CTDM
Comments: Viedoc has been an imperative tool in making Data Management easier for our team. We have had few of our clients migrate from other softwares to Viedoc thanks to the tools, the ease and comprehensive support it provides for electronic data capture and clicical trial data management
Pros:
Easy to design, modify and implement - especially the Great CRF dynamics, option to link medciation/procedures with reported medicall events, reports, and exports- much better and easier than other software platformsEase of use of Viedoc Me for SubjectsThe customer support- people are responsive and quick and accomodate the project deadlines
Cons:
Lacks Query filtering per field/form which would make closing queries easy
Viedoc was designed with the clinical site user in mind.
Comments:
To often, eDC systems are designed primarily for Data managers, with the clinical site user ( who performs most of the work) as an afterthought. We have used Viedoc on dozens of studies and have received many unsolicited comments from site users such as "Viedoc is the easiest to use and navigate eDC system we have ever used.. " or "We are performing another study using a different eDC system and it takes us twice as long to enter subject data and answer queries.. we are recommending to the sponsor that they should use Viedoc for their next study... seriously."
As far as all the features that data managers and CRAs expect, they are available in Viedoc and just as easy to use.. When evaluating a eDC system, never equate ease of use as a lack of functionality. With Viedoc you can have both.
Pros:
Ease of setup even for complex studies . Highly easy to navigate interface for users. Fast performance.
Cons:
Nothing of any consequence. Perhaps a offline capability when internet or wifi is unavailable in certain countries or settings by this a very minor Con.

Soft review like Viedoc itself
Comments: Perfect system
Pros:
Easy to use even for beginners, query management,
Cons:
missing data entries. I think it should be an option to chose in very first view, report generation for single data points not easy to manage and migration to excel

Great EDC System!
Pros:
Easy to use (for both Designer and Site roles), intuitive.
Cons:
Validations system need to much knowledge in JavaScript. Subject becomes read-only when someone is working on it, it could be only the form that is read-only.

Hi Soraia! Thanks for sharing your feedback. We appreciate that some feel JavaScript is complex to learn but on the other hand it also gives you almost endless possibilities in what you can do. A complex protocol will never be a problem to solve in Viedoc. We hope you feel the release of the coding editor was helpful. Great suggestion also on making only the form read-only and not the entire subject. We are planning to update the system along those lines. // Viedoc
Flexible and user-friendly, highly effective
Comments: As a small CRO in the orphan niche, we don't need all the bells and whistles (and the corresponding pricing model!). What we do need is a flexible and user-friendly EDC solution, that allows us to adequately capture the data for our small (in terms of subject numbers) but often highly complex clinical trials for which every data-point matters. The expertise from the PCG solutions staff is a great support when designing effective data capture solutions. Our trials are often run by site staff that is not seasoned in the use of EDC systems, the Viedoc interface and the flow through the visits with the smart dynamics really helps them to adequately enter good quality data with minimal training efforts. Setting up integrations for lab data can be a challenge, in our experience Viedoc is certainly capable to load results from not only the large central labs, but also from the small specialty labs, reducing the number of external datasets and streamlining the downstream programming. As an enhancement there is room for improvement on the display overrides (visibility conditions for visits/forms/items/roles) and the management of local lab normal ranges. The current workarounds do the trick, but can be cumbersome when it comes to updates. Being an EDC system and not a full blown IMP management the system adequately covers the basic functionalities, but it is limited when it comes to more complex randomization, stratification and (re)supply management strategies. I definitely see opportunities on this aspect!

Thanks a lot for a very detailed review Margreet! I am glad to read you find our support and expertise helpful. I am also happy to inform you we are adding support for local lab ranges in the August release. This will facilitate a lot when dealing with larger studies with many sites and where there might be frequent updates in these values. Indeed, there are still some work to be done until Viedoc is a full blown drug management supply system but we are working on that as well. Thanks for your continued support. - Henrik Blombergsson, Co-founder

Viedoc review
Pros:
Easy migration, colorful UI and friendly user. Basically its more comfortable to use.
Cons:
I feel when huge forms are present in particular design and to assign that at particular site it will take some delay.
Developing in Viedoc
Comments: As a developer, creating new forms / schedule is intresting. Also, Import options helps reduces the time consumption in handling reuse studies.
Pros:
1. User Interface2. Programming edit checks was easy with Java Script help enabled3. Rearranging forms, fields4. ODM Import /Export helped a lot in Re-Use
Cons:
1. There is no pop-up or information message when a field, form or the schedule in use is being modified. It would be great if that feature is upgraded in Viedoc that will prevent modification of data fields in Use.2. To push the design to site we need to log in admin even for the sites accessible - can try enhancing this with possible workarounds
Easy to use for sites and very flexible for designers
Comments: Clients are happy with Viedoc capabilities and sites find it user friendly, so it is a good solution for clinial trials with drugs and with medical devices, IVD.
Pros:
Excellent cost/quality rate, is easy to use for sites and designers can customize the forms to match all study requirements.
Cons:
I would really appreciate to have CTMS within the same platform.
Growing EDC
Pros:
EDC software which is Ease to use. Interesting UI for clinic users.
Cons:
Bugs at times intervene the development of eCRFs and workflow.
My first time with VIEDOC
Pros:
Viedoc is very intuitived to use and extremely user-friendly, even though you can find help easily on the eLearning or with the Support team.
Cons:
Some things are not as flexible as we which, for example some features with the validation checks, the aspect of the autoqueries, the customization of reports
