Wix a different platform that allos you to do more advancd customization

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: My overall experience is positive, I found support helpful when I've needed it, they have really good promo plans and that platform works well overall.

Pros:

I like that I don't have to just use templates and can make almost any type of design I want if I know how to either code or I can do a more experienced drag and drop with the advanced editor.

Cons:

My biggest flaw with Wix is that there is a lot of programs that can not implement with Wix because of no supp[ort on wixes end. This makes it a lot harder to implement systems that I like using and would prefer to use when searching for platforms such as rental systems, eCommerce, live chats.

Why I think you should give WIX Website Builder a try.

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: My overall experience with WIX has been excellent. I've had a few issues over the years but the support has helped work things out. Once WIX figures out a way to have the support easier to reach, then I will give it a 10 out of 10 score.

Pros:

I have been using WIX Website Builder for years and I am very familiar with how it works. It's user friendly and there's plenty of search options to find what you are looking for or to get steps on how to do something. It has tons of options and stays current with the latest trends.

Cons:

The only issue I have found with Wix is the amount of time it takes to get to talk to a person. There's too many questions even though I understand they are trying to narrow down the problem so the customer can fix it themselves but at times, the customer may just need to talk to someone for help. This can increase stress and anxiety when there's already a problem that the customer is having and to keep pushing questions on them, Well, this will raise the frustrations.

Almost Perfect, A Dozen Steps Away Being Wonderful!

3.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Pros:
1- Very easy to use and time saver for any level of web development,
2- Safe and fast servers,
3- High quality library.
Cons:
1- Expensive,
2- High renewal prices,
3- Extra costs,
4- Slow customer support.
Overall, if you have a budget to use for it, it's definitely worth it. But there is no any cheap alternatives for the presented technology.

Pros:

Wix probably has the most efficient design tool for creating a web page. It's not only working with templates, also, you can create your own templates. You can easily add segments, like text, images, video, etc. Drag and drop features are very effective and useful. Besides this, contact page features are also very useful. I set up my contact form easily and this is a very complex process if you are not a web developer with WordPress and other types of platforms. I like the main panel too. I did my webpage responsivity for mobile phones and tablets with a couple of clicks. Also, they have a really good library. You don't even need to pay for images to Stock image platforms. Overall, I have my own website in Wix and plenty of accounts for my customers. Wix is totally a time saver. I'm not afraid of revisions after I start to work with Wix. Even though I have high experience with WordPress, my first choice is Wix. If you are a very beginner with Web page design, you can set up a professional-looking website within 2 hours and this is really great.

Cons:

In my opinion, Wix has a great developer team but l can't say the same thing for the marketing department. 1- You can start using Wix at very low prices. They always offer %50 or even higher discounts for the first year. But after 1 year, you need to pay almost equal to 3 webpage costs. 2- The Wix premium domain does not include an e-mail account. You need to pay really high prices for each e-mail account for each person. Standart domain services is already have e-mail accounts. For every single customer, I also purchase a domain account from a different company and direct their e-mail account to Wix. This is a very exhausting process. 3- Last thing is, customer support is very slow. Once, I needed urgent help and I could get a response after 2 days. Also, you can contact Wix in your main language. But customer support is based in the USA (I think so) and you need to set your timezone for a phone contact. This is a serious minus for me.

Best option on the market

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall, Wix is costly and customer service can be a challenge, but there is certainly no perfect option. As far as what I have experience with through some of the other major platforms, this is the best solution for small businesses. It can be easily used by someone with no experience and for professionals. You can build a website without putting any money towards it, and I would definitely recommend doing that if you're on the fence.

Pros:

Wix is a great platform that is both easy-to-use as a CRM tool and building platform. Whether you're experienced with web building or completely clueless, it offers options that work for any experience level. For small businesses, Wix offers enough tools and resources that you could run your entire business through one platform if you know what you're doing.

Cons:

Wix is on the pricier side. Customer service can be completely hit or miss depending on which service rep you get, and they seem to try to drive you towards the AI and website answers, even when your solution doesn't lie there.

Quite well-rounded website builder - yet there is some room for improvement

4.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: Wix is a popular website builder noted for its simplicity and adaptability, making it a perfect alternative for individuals and small businesses wishing to establish a professional online presence without requiring substantial coding skills. The platform has a large choice of configurable templates, a user-friendly drag-and-drop editor, and a number of features that appeal to a variety of needs, ranging from e-commerce and blogging.

Pros:

What I love the most about Wix is that is a very user-friendly website builder with a simple drag-and-drop interface, allowing even beginners like me to construct and customize websites without any whatsoever coding skills. The platform provides an enormous library of professionally created templates from a variety of industries, allowing users to find a good beginning point for their websites. There is a wide range of apps and connectors to improve website functionality, including SEO tools, social media widgets, and e-commerce options.

Cons:

In my point of view Wix could also improve some points. What I found the most annoying was that once a template is selected, we cannot convert to a different one without rebuilding the whole site. While Wix has a free plan, many of its more advanced features, such as e-commerce and custom domain names, are only available on paid plans, which might be costly for customers with limited budgets. Wix's SEO capabilities can also be improved.

WIX is The Number 1 Site For Beginners

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: My overall experience with WIX was amazing! I would recommend them to anyone who is just starting out and has very little web design skills it walks you through and if you aren't sure of something their help guides are literally spot on to be able to walk through what ever it is!

Pros:

Overall very user friendly! I had never set up a website before and it was very easy with WIX to achieve the look that I wanted for my store. It was very easy to products into different categories and set up multiple pages within my page. They also had a great selection of upscale amd beautiful products to list! They kept you up to date on what they had and what they didn’t and very rarely did they run out of something! But when they did getting it back stock was a priority for them. Customer support was easy to get ahold of and there was complete transparency with them.

Cons:

The only thing that I did not like was that to be able to access certain products you had to purchase an annual plan instead of a monthly plan.

WIX review

4.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Wix is a web designer that some say is not difficult to utilize and has an incredible by and large experience. It has an intuitive proofreader, a huge choice of layouts, and an easy to understand interface that can assist novices with following Website optimization best practices. Wix likewise offers a free arrangement for testing out the stage.

Pros:

A simplified manager which awards you all out inventive control and the capacity to plan a site regardless of your expertise level. 900+ expertly planned layouts for a different scope of enterprises and site needs, including on the web stores and web journals.

Cons:

Wix offers an immense variety of highlights and instruments to help you get and become on the web, yet it tends to be a ton to truly understand, particularly in the event that you're a fledgling to site building. Limitless extra room is just accessible on Wix's most costly arrangement.

Intuitive Website Maker

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: My experience has been stellar when compared with other websites I have tried in the past. If you are looking for website hosting with quick (2-3 hours) easy to create websites that still feel custom designed, then Wix is definitely edging out the competition.

Pros:

The software feels more intuitive and customizable than other website competitors. You can easily have your site up and running within 2-3 hours. The domain sourcing and hosting being included is another advantage over other competitors I was researching, which would of cost me 25-50% more. I have never experienced any down time from the servers being offline either.

Cons:

The website templates could be expanded to include more options for photographers with better gallery display options. In addition I found that the mobile view option when designing the templates was not always compatible or at least the designs did not always fully translate to mobile the way I was envisioning. Please include a better or more updated mobile website design as most my clients are going to be viewing my website on their phone, not on their laptop.

Simple, good and easy to use drag and drop website builder

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: I have used Wix on 4 different websites and I must say, it's easy, fast and good platform for website design for companies and portfolios. I will always recommend

Pros:

You don't probably need to a Pro User in order to make a website with Wix. With Wix's Drag and Drop website builder, you can easily build your personal portfolio website, photographic site, lifestyle, eCommerce store for advance users etc. It's generally appart from WordPress one of those platforms I respect so much when making websites for my clients. They take care of Hosting service and your domain you only pay for their platform and start using it.

Cons:

It's not the best place for content management and therefore do not offer total user experience for companies website just like with WordPress, you can post publications in a blog section of your website. The more features you require, the more money you spend.

Amazing Website Functionality with Incredible Features

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: My overall experience with Wix has been a very positive one. Wix fills a unique niche in that it allows beginners to create a professional-looking website with little to no coding skills, yet has extremely advanced features that grow with you. From booking integration, to blog creation, menus to mobile device formatting customization, I really have not found any other platform that is so extensive in what it offers.

Pros:

Wix is one of the best website providers out there. The features are easy to start with, yet provide unprecedented opportunity for enhancement. Some of the advanced tools they provide such as databases, datasets, and dynamic pages, allow for templates to be created without manually copying each page. Wix has amazing music player integration, allowing composers and music artists to showcase and sell their work directly from their website. The apps, coding tools and new addition, called Velo, allow for infinite customization, making Wix a great choice for anyone who needs more than the basics.

Cons:

Overall, Wix is amazing and I have had very positive experiences using their platform. However there are a few areas for improvement. Wix is missing Apple Pay functionality at the moment. This drives customers to other platforms in order to fill this gap. Wix also has an amazing art store app with so much potential, however the company used for print fulfillment has received several less-than stellar reviews. I have also noticed that website speeds for Wix sites tend to be slightly slower than other companies. There are also several formatting glitches I have experienced with Wix, especially with page layout, but they seem to be short-lived. The limited social media share button customization in terms of color, shape and formatting can be frustrating for websites with a specific decor. Otherwise, my experience has been very positive.

Easy to Use and Deploy

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: I'm very satisfied with WIX but would love for them to update some of their functionality.

Pros:

Wix is a powerful drag and drop web editor. It has a full suite of strips and components that make designing the site easy and quick. It's easy to update the SEO and to customize the site to anything you want. Font selection is great and the ability to upload additional google fonts is advantageous. BONUS: The app tracks visitors and lets you know when someone is interacting with your site.

Cons:

The inability to switch templates is problematic. So when a person needs to update the site to a new look and feel, it's time intensive. The mobile editor is entirely too limited. In a mobile first world, we need a whole suite of editing options. Also, consistency between pages can be problematic. It would be ideal to put in pixel ratios and height maximums.

After 15 years of use I still love it!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Dispute the non existent customer service I have loved wix.

Pros:

I’ve been using Wix for over 15 years and I still love it! The sites are still fast, very easy to build a great looking site, and they have a lot of great templates! I also love the other features they offer such as the AI web designer, logo designer, mailbox options, and even business number. I’ve designed hundreds of sites through wix and I absolutely love wix! There are a few annoyances which I’ll list below.

Cons:

The biggest thing for me is the customer service. Whenever I’ve had technical issues they really have been hard to contact and not quick to respond. The other issue I have is the business phone number. It really is disappointing. When a call comes through it displays my business name, not who’s calling. So I can’t see if it’s a client or spam (and spam happens a lot). I contacted them about this several times and never heard back. Stick with Sideline in my opinion.

Wix, the important first step toward building your own brand...

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: Wix is an exceptional entry into the world of web design. it is expressive enough to allow users a personalized experience and not overwhelming for those just finding their feet in this aspect. however as your knowledge and understanding grows, Wix can prove limiting.

Pros:

When i began using Wix i absolutely LOVED the ease at which i made the website look and feel like my own. Customization is very unique and great fun when starting out. Wix is excellent at opening the doorway into a very intimidating aspect of business. It is basic enough for beginners to get a good understanding on web design/blogging and so on. Wix does not feel generic like many of its competitors. Wix has an exceptionally simple approach with enough bolstering and individualization to satisfy anyone, from a first time user to a seasoned professional.

Cons:

Wix is something you and your site can easily outgrow if you're always looking to be innovative. A massive problem for me is the difficulty in viewing images in a gallery. Each image opens a new page instead of click-slide images like other websites. Wix also struggles to integrate apps that are similarly aligned to business. For instance I struggled greatly with applying an ewallet and third party applications. Wix is chunky and slow at times. Particularly when customers get lost in an item gallery and cant get out unless they back-click multiple times or go back to the homepage. Wix does seize up from time to time.

All-in-one website builder for small businesses

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: I've been using Wix to build websites for small businesses for about two years. So far so good, you can design beautiful and selling pages with it.

Pros:

Wix is a highly functional drag-and-drop website builder that covers most small business needs for digital presence. It has a lot of templates to start building your website with, but they are also very customizable. Wix seems to be the best for building sites on which you can sell services and appointments. It's also great for selling physical products and creating event pages. It also has in-built email marketing tools, which helps to save budget.

Cons:

Unlike WordPress, Wix is not great for building large dynamic websites or e-stores. Even though there are many plugins, you're still very limited in what you can do with Wix. The builder gets heavy and takes a lot of time to load and make changes. Besides, you cannot have many people working on the site simultaneously.

Wix review

Comments: I had a good experience with Wix. I think it's a great platform for people who are looking to build their own website, but don't have much experience. It's easy to use, and they have a lot of options to choose from when it comes to the design of your site. You can also easily add pages and blog posts, which is great if you're looking to keep things organized. The only thing I wasn't super impressed with was the customer service reps—they seemed kind of robotic at times.

Pros:

What I liked most about Wix is how easy it was to get started. The platform is user-friendly, and the interface is intuitive. It's also really nice that Wix has a ton of templates for designing your website, so you don't have to worry about getting that part right. I'm really happy with how my site turned out!

Cons:

I didn't like the fact that Wix didn't have a lot of features in the free version, and I couldn't get my website to load very quickly.

Reliable and Relatively User-Friendly

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall Wix has been a great asset. I went from using an expensive website designer to doing it all myself. Wix has been very reliable.

Pros:

Wix fairly easy to use, although there is a bit of a learning curve. It just takes time, so as long as you are willing to put the hours in, you can come up with a really good website design. It's well worth watching the Wix tutorials. They are well put together and easy to understand. Wix also does online classes covering various areas. I don't find these as useful. The presenters are obviously experts but are not necessarily great teachers. Mostly I find they try to include far too much information and deliver it too quickly. Wix has a large range of good, modern designs, with inbuilt SEO options that make building your own website pretty easy. I also like that there is an inbuilt mobile website version which you can preview as you go along.

Cons:

Wix also does online classes covering various areas. I don't find these particularly useful. The presenters are obviously experts but are not necessarily great teachers. Mostly I find they try to include far too much information and deliver it too quickly. Customer service is very response and has helped on a couple of occasions to quickly resolve an issue with the website's function. It does have some glitchy areas in the website builder, but I think if you follow the tutorials and use the recommended browsers they are less likely to be bothersome.

Wix Functionality & Features Review

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Overall, Wix really is a great platform. It is user friendly, it has great functionality, and also provides multiple services within each bundle they sell. However, I would like to see Wix update a little bit further into the current web design era we're in. Offer features that work in a social media run web world!

Pros:

There are a few things that I really love about Wix. One being that it is very user friendly. Functionality with any program usually gets my biggest critique. It doesn't take long while using wix to know that it is a very functional web designing site with many widgets that help you along the way. The newest update to Wix sites has also brought some wonderful new features that have been much needed. Now, you website design can be easily made and with a polished look that most people pay big money for.

Cons:

There isn't too much that I don't like about Wix but the things that I don't like I feel are of hug importance. The mobile editing tool. The mobile editing tool still lacks in functionality and versatility. There's still so much you're unable to customize within the mobile editing that it can end up making your website on your phone look less than professional. A lot of things that are easily customized on the desktop editing are not availing for customizing in the mobile editing leading to a lot of frustration. The design on different computers. The designs on Wix never look the same on every computer. Some design pieces are missing, the design doesn't fit the screen right etc. I think if they could figure out how to make a design look right on every computer screen this would help keep that polished look for everyone. Social Sharing. There are no sharing buttons on Wix for visitors to share on social sites. There are only link to the social media sites. Something like a calendar or a list should have the option to add a share button so that visitors can easily share what their reading, buying, or booking to their social sites so that others can join in.

Good enough for business websites that don't require complex builds or functionality

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: For businesses that do not require eCommerce functionality (purchasing goods online), I would say this is a great tool to get a beautiful website up-and-running in little to no time with all of the basic functionality needed to provide a good customer experience. I cannot speak for the eCommerce side as I have not had a client with these requirements but am curious to know how functional their tools are.

Pros:

There is no real "onboarding" required for a tool like Wix. You can get a website skeleton stood up within 10 minutes or so, and the process for upgrading to a Premium account is painless. Migrating domains over from other providers (like GoDaddy) was surprisingly simple and was processed much faster than their anticipated wait times. I have built Wix sites for 3 separate clients at this point and have had no major issues to date.

Cons:

This tool is not for experienced web developers, or at the very least does not allow them to customize the site properly in terms of proper HTML tagging. The SEO tool is too surface-level to allow for true optimization of the site. For instance I have recently discovered the nav bars across all three of my sites are not properly being picked up and indexed by Google, which is really affecting our SEO. There is no pre-built option for this in Wix and, as I am not a true developer, it will be challenging for me to fix on my own. The other small issue I have is with the number of email addresses that can be included on form submission alerts. Even for a premium account you can only have two people notified when a contact submission comes through, which is aggravating for an org with multiple people that need to be aware.

Wix Website Builder the Pros and Cons

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Firstly, Wix is super easy to use, it's really worth it, especially for a beginner who is still learning the basics of HTML, etc. The drag and drop editor I found makes things much easier and you can add anything you want to your website as you go along. There are a huge number of templates to choose from where you can find templates suitable for you, no matter which field you're interested in. And lastly I would just say Wix is by far the best website builder on the planet; it’s very easy to use and to understand, and there is plenty of online help!

Pros:

Whenever you pick Wix ADI, it creates a template primarily based on your private needs. You simply want to mark what form of internet site you desire and that’s it, your web page is achieved using Wix synthetic intelligence. Then all you want to do is to customise it primarily based on your private preferences. I would additionally highlight that Wix presents an alternative for customers with coding knowledge, who favor to create a sketch on their own. Such users can genuinely take the clean template and personalize it with the aid of enhancing HTML and CSS. Therefore, it’s apparent that Wix presents a chance to create a private web page for everyone, beginning from novices to pros, who can code it.

Cons:

Even though Wix signals that they encompass commercials in the free model as normally on the fundamental one, it can nevertheless be very annoying. So, if you choose a higher personal experience, I would advise deciding on at least the Combo format which eliminates all the traumatic ads. The most important problems with Wix is that there is no web page transfer. So, if you create a platform with Wix and figure out to switch your platform to some other internet site builder or CMS, as, for example, WordPress, you can't do that. The sole alternative that Wix offers you, is the capacity to switch your Premium Site to every other account. So, that means, you both continue to be with Wix or create a new internet site on any other platform from scratch.

A good all round web solution

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I moved to Wix from another provider because it offered an all in one ecommerce solution at a reasonable price. It was easy to set up using the web templates which I then bespoked into the site I wanted. Wix offer different levels of packages and you can start your site at a low level and move up as your needs grown. They also offer regular deals to move to an annual package which is great once you are established

Pros:

The standard package gives you a great start to build a website and you can add on features that you want as your needs change. Integrates a CRM and email system into the package if needed. Face to face and online events are easy to set up. I use a separate domain provider and setting the DNS up was easy with the instructions provided by Wix SEO is easy to set up for the site and can be amended page by page if you need to They are quick with customer service and listen to users needs - when I started you couldn't schedule blogs but this was changed within a few months.

Cons:

It's easy to add on lots of extras and start to build up more expense before you need them. Best advice is to grown slowly and add on what you need when you need it. When I started you couldn't schedule blogs but this was changed within a few months.
