First, their cancellation process is unnecessarily complicated. They require you to submit a reason online, generate a case number, and then call in to actually cancel. Even after doing all that, I had to go through multiple automated prompts before finally reaching someone who could help. By the time I got through, our phone number had already been ported to another provider, meaning Grasshopper was no longer providing any service. Despite that, they continued to charge us. When I asked for a refund for the months we were not using the service, I was told the representative “did not have the option” to issue one. So not only were we billed for a service we weren’t using, but there was also no resolution offered. This process feels intentionally difficult and not customer-friendly. If a number is ported out, the account should be automatically canceled, or at the very least, billing should stop. Overall, very disappointing experience.
