All in all I was able to save money by combining three software products I was using. I think the automation ability is great and they are continually adding new features.
I wasn't able to make a payment because it kept prompting me to enter in a zip code when that field wasn't available. I tried 3xs but was forced to use a different form of payment, which is annoying.

Comments: TaxDome saves us a tremendous amount of time, allowing us to focus our work hours on what truly matters—serving our clients. Data collection is often the biggest speed bump in the process, but with TaxDome, we can keep moving forward seamlessly!
Pros:
Everything in One Place – Switching to TaxDome allowed me to cancel four other software programs. It centralizes all aspects of an engagement, including text messages, emails, e-signature documents, invoices, engagement letters, client questions, and files. This streamlined approach saves time and eliminates the hassle of chasing information across different platforms. For team members collaborating on the same client, everything they need is at their fingertips, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
Cons:
At one point, the mass messaging feature glitched, but thankfully, it seems to be working fine now.

Comments: I'm very happy with TaxDome. I needed a secure communication platform with project tracking and KBA e-signatures, and TD has all that and so much more. In fact, I recently switched to a 3 year contract, which should tell you how pleased I am. I highly recommend any CPA firm check out this software!
Pros:
I love all of the automation features. It makes my workflow highly customizable and well organized. I always know who has which tasks to complete, and where in the process any given deliverable is. Plus they keep introducing more incredible features, so the product is continually improved.
Cons:
There is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning in order to understand how the system works and how to set up your own processes, so I'm still tweaking some of my setup as I get more experience with the product. I also wish they supported foreign currency invoicing (CAD-USD).

Comments: Overall I've been happy with the pricing structure and being able to add and remove users based upon the seasonality of my business. I love the automations and how much manual work has been removed from administrative work.
Pros:
I like being able to manage different projects, automate workflows and have document exchange all in one place.

Comments: The overall experience has been very positive. I am committed to the product, and each year they add new features that enhance my efficiency. It saves me time.
Pros:
It offers comprehensive functionality as an all-in-one tax practice management solution. I used to have several different providers for my tax practice and now it is all centralized.
Cons:
The initial setup was straightforward with the assistance of TD, but unlocking the product’s full potential was a bit more complicated. I would describe the learning curve as steep; however, once you get the hang of it, the product becomes truly wonderful.

Comments: It has been a real game-changer for my practice and has helped so much with annual tax preparation. I'm also very impressed at how reactive TD is to user requests and all of the improvements released.
Pros:
Everything is all in one place! I was able to drop several other apps. The automations for workflow are mind-blowing. I love being able to mass email with filters for targeted clients. I love locking documents to payments and now I have reduced my $45K A/R to $0.
Cons:
We are using Keeper to manage our accounting work because I can't get TD to do what I need.

Comments: Overall, my experience with TaxDome has been great.
Pros:
I like that TaxDome allows for the auto-draft of recurring invoices. I also like that I can organize my chats by topic, allowing me to locate a conversation easily.
Cons:
What I like least is that the templates aren't searchable and can't be filtered. I have to scroll through all of them to find what I am looking for. It would also be nice to be able to filter by preferred language.

Comments: Good fit for our firm. Affordable price and good customer service.
Pros:
We use TaxDome as both a PMO tool & Client Portal. The ability to automate tasks and send messages & emails to clients is huge. I also like the client facing options available, for ex. the action updates & client tasks. TaxDome has also been constantly updating & adding new features.
Cons:
- Inability to integrate with other apps- through Zapier or otherwise. -Cannot add packages to proposal - No option to switch the client option to pay CC fees -Wish the Organizer was more intuitive and could recognize PY data & sync.

Comments: Love it. Can't see myself not having it.
Pros:
I don't use the full functionality of TaxDome. I use it mostly to store and share files with clients, signature requests, and billing. It's been so easy to organize client files and bill/collect invoices. I also integrate the client portal login page into my website to streamline client access.
Cons:
It can get complicated but thankfully there are tons of resources online and customer service if you need a personal touch overcoming an issue.

Fantastic! Real solution thats multi-featured for accounting firms
Comments: Fantastic! Highly supported program that is constantly being updated and improved based on actual user feedback. Use it daily in my business and honestly would need 12 programs to replace all the things it does for me and my team.
Pros:
Has multiple features in one software so not constantly logging in, or updating integrations with other platforms. Also saves on cost by having one integrated system for 99% of what my accounting firm needs. Clients also give great feedback on ease of use and having everything in one place.
Cons:
It is a big software product so feels hard to learn. Like any large business application, reaching out to their support desk and 1:1 whiteglove custom training sessions allows me to setup features I needed for my business in stages without being overwhelmed

Loves TaxDome and the Tools it Includes!
Comments: The educational material and videos are great and I have been able to implement what I want without having to call customer support. When I have needed something, someone has been able to point me in the right direction quickly.
Pros:
The ability to have all of my records and tools in one place! The PDF editor is a great addition. Also, getting KBA signatures from clients is super easy.
Cons:
I can't think of any REAL drawbacks. I don't especially think the client type field is necessary or useful.

Excellent Multitask App
Comments: This life changing app is the best investment your small firm could do. Is a great combination between a project management, CRM, and invoicing tool.
Pros:
Most repetitive tasks could easily be automated saving a lot of time increasing your capacity to serve more clients and increase your income. Also the software, through the customization of pipelines, helps you manage your workflow like a pro since the most simple task through the most complex one. The tutorials database is good.
Cons:
This software requires time dedication for implementation and probably will need to hire external consultants to customize the software for your needs . Also, license fee per user is expensive.

Comments: The more our office become committed to using TaxDome, the more rewarding it is and we realize it is worth the effort and cost.
Pros:
TaxDome is hard, but I love knowing TaxDome provides excellent support. I am learning every month how TaxDome can make our office more efficient. It is definitely a process, but one that is rewarding when it all comes together.
Cons:
I feel like you really need to invest, which takes time - time to learn, time to implement, time to review and revamp. Once you invest time to learn and setup, it saves you the time you are looking for.

Comments: Overall, it has helped my practice be more efficient across the board for me, my staff and my clients.
Pros:
its ease to find and organize things. I can navigate through the screens, check for data, get notified when clients upload data, etc
Cons:
Billing can be improved a little but TD is constantly upgrading and improving so there is really nothing I hate about it.

If I had to do it over again... I'd still choose TaxDome
Comments: I've been quite pleased with TaxDome. My biggest cringe whenever I implement new software into an already existing practice is getting everything moved over. This process with TaxDome was a lot less problematic than I was anticipating.
Pros:
I like that everything is centralized and in one spot. Also, the additional features that are being developed continue to make it a more robust software.
Cons:
I would like to see "company wide" packages for seats... so that my cost doesn't go up $800 per year everytime I add a staff member.

TaxDome for the WIN!
Comments: They have been WONDERFUL! All their employees are friendly and knowledgeable, they offer so much training (both in video and in person) and are very transparent with the changes that are coming. They listen to the community and are mindful of tax deadlines when they do make changes.
Pros:
Love the secure messaging, printing directly from my tax software to TD, client communication in one place and the automation gave me an "admin" that I desperately needed.
Cons:
I wish SMS didn't need a separate phone number (but chat works great) and wish it could integrate with QB payments.

3 year user of TaxDome - we love it
Comments:
We are extremely happy with TaxDome (TD). TD listens to it's users and makes adjustments based upon requests. Love that. We bought it at the end of 2021 and have seen changes in the software (for the good) since then.
The true key to it being a success is to constantly use it. Kind of like that piece of exercise equipment in your basement. Don't blame it for you not losing weight if you don't use it. Use TD as much as you can and you'll appreciate the efficiency of what it does.
TD offers a lot and our clients seem to like it. We have about 1,100 client now so it comes in REALLY handy. Like everyone else, we have clients in their 70's, 80's (even 90's) who love it and use it just fine. But we also have clients in their 20's, 30's & 40's who find it "confusing".
Bottom line is do what works for you and your firm. Because the way you process returns is different than me. So don't copy someone else's Workflow but instead create you own!
Pros:
that it does things I didn't even know were a good idea. such as locking a tax return to an invoice. Cool! We also love the Workflows. That feature should be a necessity in every tax preparation firms arsenal.
Cons:
Nothing I liked least BUT I will say, for us at least, it was like moving from a small Cessna plane to a Lear Jet. Holy smokes, the bells and whistles and things it can do require time to learn/use it. Point being, you're not gonna be a TaxDome pro the first year. Give it a few years.

Great Portal, Great Workflows, Great Communication Management Tool
Comments: I purchased a client list from someone using TaxDome, and transitioned into using it. I barely used it the first season because I didn't understand it -- and now I love it and feel it contributes to my efficiency and document security in a way that would be impossible without it.
Pros:
The ability to keep several methods of communication in one arena -- chats, emails from multiple addresses, etc -- all the while allowing the safe upload and download of documents. The work flows are a great organizational tool.
Cons:
The user/fee structure. As a small practitioner, the kind that gets great use from TaxDome, we have users that are not primary, can be occasional - part time bookkeepers, seasonal interns, spousal record upkeep, etc. To charge the same for any new users is not cool -- and it leads to sharing of logins, which is not a safe practice.

Signature requests are great
Comments: It's been good. Most of my clients have migrated without too much trouble.
Pros:
Ability to request signatures directly from the uploading windows program.
Cons:
Client access - if a client accesses a signature request link on a shared computer that is already logged on as a different client (spouses) unless they log out, the spouses' signature prompts will be used and they get confused as to why they can't sign.

Comments: It has been a pretty good experience, however for the price I feel like there could be more features and SMS should be free with a possible limit within reason (1000-1,200).
Pros:
Visual Aesthetics, Organization, The Organizer is by far my favorite feature with conditional logic.
Cons:
Glitches, No internal (firm) messaging module, Screenshots delete after so many days (biggest downfall), no 2-way integration with QBO, The need to use so many tags in a pipeline can get messy.

Fascinated with my new tool, Tax Dome.
Comments: An incredible experience, it has been very good from adapting to the system to starting to use it with my clients. It is a very easy platform to use.
Pros:
The thing I like most about TaxDome are the automations that help us be 100% more productive and that I also have everything on the same platform.
Cons:
I would like the system to have better editable options on invoices, as well as add an option for business-to-business income tax withholdings.
