Unparalleled customer service

Comments: For the price, it is a fantastic product for small to mid-sized organizations.

Pros:

The customer service is amazing. Whenever I need a complicated report, the support staff are able to walk me through until I've got what I need.

Cons:

We aren't able to track all our contacts and communications with stakeholders beyond donors.

Comments: Our company evaluated multiple fundraising software/CRM solutions. DonorPerfect stood out from the rest because of their broad capabilities. They also had excellent customer service. Every other firm made us feel insignificant and as if they were doing us a favor by letting us by their software. The folks at DonorPerfect seem genuinely happy to have us as customers and are very helpful.

Comments: DonorPerfect is comparable to eTapestry, a Blackbaud product that was once an Access database that Blackbaud took over. DonorPerfect isn't as useful as Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge and far less useful a CRM as SalesForce.

Pros:

DonorPerfect seems to be fairly customizable and recent updates allow users to be very specific when entering gift records.

Cons:

Even with assistance from DP Chat, we have been unable to upload mass contacts into DonorPerfect. For instance, we may have has 250 guests at a fundraising event. We wanted to take an excel sheet with donor names and a comment like "Attended an Event" into each donor record at one time, but were unable to do a single, mass upload instead of entering the contact into records individually. When downloading donations from Online Forms, DonorPerfect always creates a new record even when the existing record is an almost 100% in data. DP Mobile needs updating. It will not allow cards that aren't embossed (the credit card number) to be swiped. Most credit/debit cards are no longer embossed.

Comments: Overall I am pleased with the ease of the program and storage of our donor information.

Pros:

I find most of DonorPerfect very useful. I haven't taken the time to watch all the tutorials but I click on help and there is always someone there to help me.

Cons:

I am more old school and like to be hands on so a workbook showing me step by step how to do different tasks is very helpful. A video is seen but forgotten easily. Hardcopies are a quick reference guide helpful for me. Secondly doing the reports that I need are not that easy for me to get the exact information needed so I use help quite frequently.

DonorPerfect Was Definitely the Right Choice for My Organization!

Comments: DonorPerfect had ease in sales, onboarding, implementation, and data conversion. Everyone was always available for questions and always ready to show me where to go. Having the services we need and the knowledge to do the work thanks to DonorPerfect's support makes me excited for our future fundraising.

Pros:

DonorPerfect has all of the services we need: email newsletters and solicitations, giving pages, and a variety of ways to pull reports and categorize donors, but the thing I like most is using all of these services is completely user-friendly with on-the-spot access to chat, customer service and an online knowledgebase for us introverts.

Cons:

The only thing I was disappointed in with DonorPerfect is we couldn't get it up fast enough!

Donor Perfect Review

Comments: While my experience with Donor Perfect has been short, I've enjoyed using this software. I've used a few other software in my career and this has been the most user friendly. The chat support has been invaluable to my success.

Pros:

Donor Perfect is a user friendly software with a vast knowledgebase that helps new users become acclimated to the database

Cons:

When splitting gifts and assigning a GL code to each, the GL code from the main gift disappears.

Pros:

The customer service and onboarding was great! We felt supported through the entire process.

Cons:

Can't say right now, our small and mighty team is still getting into our groove with the platform.

DonorPerfect 2024 Elemental Synchronicity

Comments: DonorPerfect has helped me set up donors, track recurring donations and focus on repeat donors.

Pros:

Ease of use and ability to track donor activities

Cons:

external apps to manage contacts and email campaigns

Great software for processing donor gifts and keeping donation records, not great for people/relationship management

Comments: Overall, it's a solid system, very good at processing payments, helping to hold donor records together, and the support is wonderful. There are a few pieces that could use some updating to make them even more efficient.

Pros:

I really like the customer support and chat help. I find that when I have issues of any kind, there is always an outlet to quickly help me and support my organization's needs. I also like how you can attach documentation to transactions or just to the record, it helps to purposefully attach information directly where it belongs.

Cons:

I don't like that you can't select a record to be a household/couple. We have many married donors who want to be in one singular record, and the only way to do that is to put both first names in the same row, which makes pulling reports and processing information for each specific donor more difficult. I'm getting better with reports, but even after 4 years, I still find the process clunky, especially when you're trying to deep dive down into very specific pieces of information. I also don't like how in every training, the trainers are always trying to upsell on additional features. I stopped signing up for trainings and either use the chat function or read articles to learn how to complete new tasks.

Donor Care Coordinator

Comments: I have had an overall good experience with DP- I have felt like they are very quick on returning emails and questions. [sensitive content hidden] is very personable and responsive.

Pros:

Ever since Donor Perfect update their look it has been better. They have always had great customer service and will walk you through building reports.

Cons:

Perhaps the only con would be how every extra package is separate. Certain things are not included like making a video or sending mass emails.

Great Product, but Lacks Some Vital Customizatin

Comments: It's been a good experience. For the most part support is good, but sometimes we get the "issue is being elevated to ..." reponse because support is stumped.

Pros:

DonorPerfect is easy to learn and use. Import and export functions are easy to use.

Cons:

The definition of "lapsed" donor. Some of the standard reports don't work with our data - we have some complex gift coding due to the nature of our data which makes some reports unusable. Mass emailing outside of Constant Contact would be beneficial. It would be great if email looked more personal with the Constant Contact logo at the bottom of the correspondence.

DonorPerfect Review

Comments: DonorPerfect is a great system with advanced capabilities. The things the system is able to do, and the things we want the system to do, are often rather complicated and advanced, so the learning curve can be a little high. For smaller organization not needing an advanced level of reporting and donor tracking, I could see the learning curve being a lot. For larger organization, I encourage investing the time to really learn the system and make it work for you.

Pros:

DonorPerfect has an advanced CRM with lots of options for reporting, customization, and design. DonorPerfect also has a fantastic support team that is easily reachable and very helpful. What I value most about DonorPerfect is that they really invest in teaching you how to use the product and sharing general fundraising education information, which empowers you to try new things and increase your fundraising level.

Cons:

DonorPerfect's online forms and event management have not been sufficient for the level of fundraising events we do, causing us to utilize other programs and import the data post-event. Their general online giving forms are great; managing event registrations and details is what can be challenging.

The perfect companion for all your donor relations needs

Comments: The customer service is exceptional. And I love all the learning opportunities given to me for CFRE credit.

Pros:

I brought Donor Perfect to my organization because it is user friendly, has all the tools I need for both our finance office and donor relations.

Cons:

Still learning reporting. Duplicate records and management can be challenging.

DonorPerfect Provides Ease of Use and Robust Features

Comments: Outstanding. Does what we need it to do and is able to grow along with the organization.

Pros:

DP is very easy to use and to teach to staff and Board members. The chat and tech support are second to none.

Cons:

Give me back my auto de-dupe on the Beta version of Duplicate Merge.

Better than Blackbaud but still behind

Comments: The change has been bumpy, but the support staff on call have largely been very helpful in quick responses and step by step instructions to resolve our issues.

Pros:

Like the better integrated approach with fundraising, emails and donor tracking that we were not offered with our previous CRM platform.

Cons:

The system is not visually appealing and there are tasks that are not intuitive in operation. The setup time was quick but there were many unaddressed matters and the data had lots of missing/incorrect information.

Off to a Good Start

Comments: So far so good! Everyone is helpful and extremely knowledgeable in their area. Each person I've worked with has been with DonorPerfect for several years. That says a lot about a company in today's world.

Pros:

Our organization just selected DonorPerfect for the quality of CRM options and all of the partners that come with it to make each task easier for us.

Cons:

Understandably, we are excited to be using it, but it takes time to be set up correctly.

Donor Perfect daily user

Comments: Very good. Support is great, knowledgebase articles are very helpful. I love having the app since I travel and visit donors. Reporting is robust and allows you to create your own reports along with canned ones.

Pros:

Ease of use: The dashboard allows me to quickly see things like goal status and tasks. I can easily search for donors using multiple criteria and the screens/tabs are easy to navigate.

Cons:

The app is more limited and doesn't have the search criteria available that the computer software has.

Decent CRM with Good Tech Support

Comments: I have used many donor databases/CRMs in my 40-year career. DP was just put in place when I came on as CEO in June 2021. I can use it pretty easily, as can my office manager. My issue is with the items I like least about the product. As a consultant, I have known two clients who dropped DP because it does not handle earned revenue well.

Pros:

Easy to manage and good response for help when needed.

Cons:

It is not a good product for earned revenue and difficult to see goals from both a capital and annual campaigns.

A great choice for new nonprofits

Comments: Overall, my experience with DonorPerfect is positive. The software is easy to use, and our organization has used it for a long time. It keeps our donor data secure and easily accessible, and reports and receipting are done well. Other features like credit card processing and online giving pages make this a great resource for new nonprofit organizations.

Pros:

Donor Perfect is really easy to use. The UI is intuitive, making it easy for our staff to enter donations promptly and accurately. The reporting is robust and customizable.

Cons:

The biggest disappointment with DonorPerfect is the lack of integrations with accounting software. Currently, the only integration listed on their page is Quickbooks. They just launched a partnership with Sage Intacct for new customers. This is an area they need to expand. Eliminating the hurdles of getting donation data into an accounting system, as well as the possibility of entry errors, should be a high priority for a Donor Management service.

Very practical and easy to integrate

Comments: DonorPerfect is a very practical and easy to use CRM for nonprofits. It syncs up well with our accounting software. It is very simple to learn and get familiar with.

Pros:

I love the integration between DP and Quickbooks. I can record donations so seamlessly and my workload is drastically reduced. It’s easy to spot errors in the CRM and correct them without creating a mess on our books.

Cons:

There could be more robust reporting features. We rely on good data to drive decision making so we would like more intuitive reports.

DPO is a must for a small org

Comments: DPO has streamlined so much of the donor tracking work. I use it nearly every day even if it's to answer a question about a single donor.

Pros:

DPO tracks as much or as little information as you want about a donor. It's a quick way to look up a single donor history OR create a report about giving history for a specific group. The customer service is also exceptional and knowledgeable.

Cons:

The learning curve. Some tasks are a little harder to catch on to if it's not someones full time job to manage the system. That being said, the DPO team can throw a complicated filter together no problem!

Ease of Use with DonorPerfect

Comments: My overall experience has been one of quality and ease. DP has always made themselves available for questions and issues. I would highly recommend DP.

Pros:

I love the fact that it is very ease to navigate and if I have any questions, I can easily get in touch with someone at DP that will help me to navigate through my issues.

Cons:

At this time, I have not had any foreseeable issues.

Easy Breezy- How DonorPerfect makes me feel

Comments: I think DP is a great product because it is easy to use and fairly affordable.

Pros:

I like the ease of use. It is very straightforward. I got minimal training on it because it is so logical. I did watch a few webinars to help me get more comfortable with it, but because DP is so user friendly, a lot of it was logical and really easy to figure out.

Cons:

I don't like that you have to attach documentation after saving the gift. It feels like double the work. I have to save the gift, go to the main page, and then go back to attach. I do not understand why DP is set up this way. Also, I would love for there to be an option to copy some of the details of a previous donation, but I can see how that might get a little confusing/challenging. I really wish the former wasn't an issue though.

Best CRM for nonprofits

Pros:

DonorPerfect really helped increase donations! It is the best CRM for nonprofits because it is easy to use and implement and it is specifically set up for nonprofit fundraising instead of being a normal CRM that businesses use.

Cons:

I can’t think of much that there isn’t to love about Donor Perfect. I guess some of the reports options are a little less intuitive than other features. But overall I’m really searching to find a downside.

Comments: I really like the ease of use of DonorPerfect and the fact that you don't needlessly have to enter information. I also like the new automated features for thanking donors.
