One of the best Data Visualizations tools right out of the box
Comments: Overall Tableau has been an excellent data visualization tool that has allowed me to quickly create high quality, impactful dashboards.
Pros:
Tableau makes creating impactful, visually attractive dashboards quick and easy. The software connects to most structured data sources to quickly import your data and you can then link your data in the software to create additional tables that you can build visual from. A very flexible data visualization tool.
Cons:
When you are trying to create complex dashboard or blend data across multiple primary keys it can be difficult to do inside the tools and I found myself creating custom tables in a SQL database to get the correct data blend. Large data sets, especially calculated fields can really slow down the software and make the dashboard feel sluggish. There are also certain actions / chart changes that feel like they should be simple but take "hacking" the software to accomplish. These can be frustrating and time consuming.

Analysis of various types of data for performance improvement
Comments: The ease of use of this software is advantageous with respect to real estate, as it allows for the analysis of price trends, occupancy rates by zones, yields and much more. This has allowed us to obtain a greater economic benefit.
Pros:
The best thing about Tableau is its limits, as it adapts to the needs of the organization. From small to large, the limits depend on the organization, not the software. And also the way the data is visualized is easy to understand.
Cons:
While it can work with any type of data, it becomes optimal when working with structured data, so you must have staff capable of structuring the data into rows and columns or you will not be able to take full advantage of the software.
I can see our status on multiple fronts so clearly!!
Comments: Love it's capabilities. Wish it was easier for me to manipulate. I have to rely on a couple team members who are way more experienced in it than I am to create anything new.
Pros:
Great visualization capabilities helps me see how I am doing compared to this year's goals on multiple objectives and how we are doing year over year...without having to manipulate the raw data on my own. Being able to have Tableau refresh the data source with the most recent info each time I open the dashboard is so important!
Cons:
Takes awhile and a lot of practice to understand how to set up the worksheets so they answer the questions you are looking to answer. Dashboards are more so.
Identifying potential problems
Comments: I have used Tableau for a number of years and do trust it's results and functionality, if it was a little quicker and instantaneous it would be a dream. Overall very satisfied
Pros:
The reporting feels very accurate, which gives me confidence in our weekly/monthly/yearly results
Cons:
It is very slow to load reports, especially when result is required as matter of urgency, and the lack of live data
