Apart from this the most important feature is the session manager that enable to have a secure access to the required server without the need to open any port this significantly improves the security posture of our infrastructure there are many other features like parameter store used to store paramenters, Run command, patch manager for patching etc. Overall AWS system manager is one of the key to automate let us do multiple task in a automated approach. > > **Cons**: AWS systems manager is great service which allow us to automate tasks without the need to login into each server although for making this automation work we need to configure the required IAM policy and install the SSM agent into every server which might sometimes feels a bit heavy also if we want to access any private server we need to configure a private endpoint to Systems manager to enable the access this might be a little complex for new comers however one can easily learn this over time. > > Overall, my experience with AWS systems manager has been very positive.
