> **Pros**: File structure, compliance \& security are very good and this is something that biotechnology companies need.

> **Cons**: It's difficult to update templates quickly as a spreadsheet designer as well as it being and difficult to learn spreadsheet designer. Although it's easy enough to learn the functions in SSD, to actually design a complex template takes a long time to develop skills.

> As a user, I'm a super user and it does take some getting used to. However, I'm quite techy so can help others with e-workbook. There are many things that are good about e-workbook, but the lack of multi user access can be an issue

> **Pros**: I love the internal spreadsheets of ELN. They allow us to standardize and structure our data to support advanced searches and analytics

> **Cons**: It is very expensive and I wish the documentation was better. Sometimes when trying to implement a new feature, it takes a lot of back and  forth with IDBS as the documentation is not easy to find on your own

> We have had an overall great experience with IDBS. They listen to feedback very well and continue to improve every year\!
