Comments: I will continue to use it and prefer it over other EHRs that are out there.

Pros:

The platform is pleasant to look at and interface with. Many automated features that help me make fewer mistakes - meaning less revenue lost. The way of keeping a chart is intuitive and streamlined.

Cons:

I am not a big fan of the telehealth feature - it costs more to host more than one client/family member and I don't think you can screen share.

Best Decision I Made

Pros:

It is so very easy to use and the support staff has been the best I have ever used. Whether I am emailing or talking over the phone, they listen and are able to answer my questions with ease. They are always updating their product and listen to users when we have ideas or suggestions.

Cons:

I have 2 cons to using this product. One is the lack of secondary billing, though I know they are working on it. The second is the lack of ease in trying to have a non-therapist or non-therapy related events through the platform. I have a yoga teacher on staff and I would love to be able to incorporate her schedule into the platform. I offer Reiki sessions and struggle to find an easy way to get someone set up and scheduled.

Not for prescribers

Comments: Not the worst but by far not the best either. Will be switching to a different system soon.

Pros:

Great therapy note template. Ease of charging copays to client. Easily pull in intake information, however some of the intake is pyschotherapy based and not medication provider based.

Cons:

Medication provider notes are all free text. The system constantly lags no matter what intenet connection I use or that I clear my internet history and cache daily. Tech support tells me that the lag is me and my connection. Sending prescriptions is a nightmare, the tab to aend prescriptions will disappear and then reappear and then that tab takes 2-3 minutes to load. Then if a prescription does not go through since this does not communicate with therapy notes there is no notification.

Basic but efficient

Comments: Overall, Therapy Notes is a great program, especially for those running their own business. Its got very simple and easy to navigate features

I love the discount and pricing of the actual program. Also, the to-do list feature saves me so much!

Longtime customer of TN - almost 10 years

Comments: Love love love!!! My experience has been fantastic on all areas of running a single private practice and growing into a large group private practice that accepts most major insurance carriers. Highly recommended.

Pros:

I love the intuitive structure of TN and the prompts that make everything easy to set up. TherapyNotes support desk is the absolute best I have ever encountered in any capacity or task. TN makes it easy to expand your practice and grow in ways that need business support without taking away from clinical time. I love the ability to give some transparency to the therapist that chose to work in my group. TN really makes running a large group practice possible without breaking the bank or losing clinical time (or my mind).

Cons:

That every issue I have to call support desk for is a USER ERROR!!!! One thought I had was that other therapists in my group practice can see each others revenue report. I love I can bring this up to TN and they add it to the list of things they work on - TN has made updates that I have requested in the past and it's so lovely.

Excellence

Pros:

Ease of use and immediate contact with person for any questions about the product. Superior customer support. This is an excellent product that offers scheduling options, encounter notes, file storage, clearinghouse EDI, ERA, patient messaging, telehealth video, and superior support. It's excellent.

TherapyNotes BEST ever!!!

The getting started videos are great. Customer support is in the USA!!!!!! They spend as much time as needed and they are encouraging. The credit card processing is the best I have ever used. Their Golden Thread Method leaves no stone upturned. The telemed is much better then the competition. I would highly recommend this platform.

it does not track external authorization which is highly needed to EAP session

The Right Choice

Comments: I was anxious about starting use of a system on my own but it's really been simple w/TherapyNotes.I am a self-employed therapist working on my own so a straightforward need for my business.

Pros:

This product is easy to use for someone who has used EMR's but always with lots of support. I am now on my own but TherapyNotes is pretty self-explanatory. The articles for figuring things out are well written and easy to follow-not too technical.The selling point for me was having on-call tech support if I can't figure something out. So far I haven't had to wait more than 15 minutes and typically it's a much shorter wait time, if I have to wait at all. The tech support people are efficient and clear in their instructions. They then send an email reviewing the steps they have gone through w/me that I can review in the future if necessary.

Cons:

Not being able to add templates within the system. You can customize (to an extent) the templates already in the system. The work around is scanning and uploading forms to the system. Not too bad...

my first weerk with therapynotes

Comments: not much yet.

Pros:

I hope it will prevent the loss of records and improve the ease of retrieval of records when needed. It will use the same format for all records so less confusion or missed forms

Cons:

the program "requires" the insertion of a date of birth before the client can get signed in. Psychology today does not ask these questions when a client clicks in to see me. So no3w I have to call the client to get date of birth. Why can't we sign someone in and then ask for date of birth. Save amount of work and trying to call client or text them for this one piece of information

TherapyNotes is the best!

Comments: I have tried other "leading" mental health EHRs but they did not meet my needs and were not user friendly and did not provide the level of awesome customer support that TherapyNotes provides!

Comments: It has been excellent and I will continue to use this platform until I retire.

Pros:

I had already been using it as an agency employee provider, and when I decided to do my own practice where I am the admin and the provider, the customer service assistance I received both for set-up and ongoing admin tasks has made it possible for me to do this without needing to hire an additional person to handle billing, scheduling, etc... I love the Portal support for Outcome Measures as well as for HIPAA compliant document use and registration process.

Cons:

It took a minute for some forms to be set up in the Portal, but now everything I need is there!

Superior Customer Service

Comments: Exceptional customer service and an easy to use product with helpful features.

Pros:

TherapyNotes has fantastic customer service. You may wait a few minutes to talk to a real person, but they are patient and kind and help you with issues (even those that are due to user error). Also, TherapyNotes has made billing insurance and recording payments SUPER EASY. I don't think I would have continued on my own without this support!!!

Cons:

I wish that TherapyNotes could bill secondary insurance providers and I would like to see more customization in the templates for notes.

Comments: Overall, it’s a great system, and I know the video issue is temporary but super important since I’m a telehealth provider.

Pros:

The ease at working within the system is a great feature. It’s very user friendly.

Cons:

Right now, w the upgrades, the video portion is a challenge.

Best product on the market

Comments: I have never had a bad experience when I needed to speak to support team about anything. Their patience, time, and expertise is invaluable. Even if I was not sure what to name my situation, they always understood, took their time with me and made me feel like I am important. Love the Therapy Notes. I recommended this EMR to all my friend that are going into Private Practice. Keep it up Therapy Notes. I also chime in once in a while on FB.

Never Use Another EHR

Comments: I have only used TherapyNotes and feel spoiled. The ease of note taking, treatment planning, and submitting claims makes running a private practice simple. Their support staff is exceptional in customer services. So kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I never hesitate to call them as I know my concerns will be heard and issues will be resolved. Highly recommend TherapyNotes to any mental health practice.

Pros:

The user friendliness of therapy notes and the expectational support team that is always so kind and helpful makes this EHR the best in the business. They think of everything, response with a detailed email about what you talked about in a call, they send step by step screen shots in case your find yourself in need of help again. You never feel "alone" with the customer services staff of therapy notes.

Cons:

I really cannot say there is anything I do not like about TherapyNotes. It is a full package. I would rate it 10 out of 10!!!

Love it, would not go with any other program

Comments: Absolutely love therapy notes. One stop shop for everything now if only, I could integrate payroll in it, that would be great.

Satisfied customer

Comments: Excellent in friendly and knowledgeable support services, set up to keep me compliant, helpful portal forms (which they keep adding to, recently setting up a self-fillable option), allowing me to do notes, forms, scheduling, and billing all in one place.

Pros:

I like that TherapyNotes is specifically targets my profession and my needs as a private practitioner, considering that my skill set is in therapy, not computers. I purchased their services initially to help me stay compliant to current standards in the profession, but I also found them to provide friendly and helpful support, and they keep adding features that make my job easier. I love the constant innovation and the responsiveness of the company to user needs and requests.

Cons:

I truly and satisfied and so grateful they're out there.

Excellent EHR

Pros:

I love therapy notes. I transitioned just before the pandemic (thank god) and it made it easy to maintain my notes and do my billing no matter where I was seeing clients from. The support staff is absolutely fabulous - they are responsive and knowledgeable. A rare find in this day and age!

I love that I can do everything on one platform, scheduling, billing, documentation. All is one. I also love how fast and effective the customer support is. they are always very positive and helpful and patient. When i call I am frustrated at times because I have been trying to figure it out and they are so kind and patient that it calms me down right away. I know they will stay with me till it makes sense, and it is fixed!

Excellent Customer Service

Comments: I have been nothing but pleased with TherapyNotes. Set up was easy and they walk you through everything. I was given a 90 day free trial and knew I was going to subscribe about 9 minutes in. Customer service is top notch. I am an independent counselor so I don't have experience with TherapyNotes for a group practice, but if the day comes I decide to expand, I will definitely reach out to customer support at TherapyNotes for guidance.

Pros:

Not once have I felt "alone" in setting up and using TherapyNotes. Any time I have a question or concern, the customer service reps are quick to respond. They always seem to have an answer and I have not been disappointed yet. They are quick, efficient and friendly.

Cons:

Complaints from me are not a thing. I have been very satisfied with TherapyNotes. They are always improving and changing things to make it better and meet my needs.

Customer service is helpful

Comments: I like that I can access it from my computer or my mobile device.

Pros:

I have used therapy notes for several years and I’ve never had an issue. Today I made a mistake and got myself locked out. Customer service was very patient and worked through the problem and stayed on the phone with me until I was able to log back in. [sensitive content hidden] deserves a raise.

Cons:

Nothing at this time in my opinion needs to be changed, and I have had no difficulties.

TN has a fantastic customer service. In the event that I have needed to reach out for assistance, TN customer service has went above and beyond to help solve any issues that I have encountered

When switching from ZOOM to TN Telehealth, it has felt a bit clunky with multiple A/V issues.
