I really enjoyed the fact that when you type just partial part of a number you were looking for, it would pull all possibilites. > > **Cons**: The adjustment system, such as bin counts. Easy to learn. unfortunately, i do not have a lot of good things to say about CDK > > **Cons**: Support or ownership of responsibilities is not part of their vocabulary. IRS issues with payroll that CDK payroll plus provided and once we termed our agreement with them, they will not assist with legal issues that were their responsibility at the time. They debited our account for tax payments and the IRS is stating they were short. > > We signed contract with CDK, they signed us up with ADP third party payroll provider in 2016. In 2020 we changed payroll companies due to what we felt was a better fit for our company. In June of 2025 we received an IRS notice that our 2018, 2019, and 2020 940's had not been completed or were incorrect. I have been trying for over a year to get someone with ADP or CDK to speak with me. ADP says they can only speak with CDK. CDK is absolutely no help and is saying I have to contact the IRS to rectify. ADP debited our account for all returns during the years we were with them. The IRS will not help me as they say we did not file the returns and that ADP is the agent they need to speak with. our penalty is up over $200,000.00 as of today. I attempted to call IRS and ADP and CDK again today at no avail. I would not recommend CDK. Their support and responsibly cannot be trusted\! ----- ### "Could use some improvements" — 4.0/5 > **Audra** | *7 June 2026* | Automotive | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10 > > **Pros**: I like that the information I need is in one place mand that it can be used for verious things, i.e. acounting, ordering etc. > > **Cons**: What I like least is that you can only search by account number, invoice or part number and not by VIN or PO, it freezes up a lot and has had issues being usable at all numerous times in the last couple years and it does not save your settings when you change them, as soon as you restart your computer it goes back to the originaly settings, even though I have hit save numerous times in each screen it does not safe. For instance when you change the inversion color from the ugly gold to a different color it will not stay. I do wonder about how secure it is however especially after it was hacked last, it made work very difficult. > > My overall experience is good. I have looked into other DMS systems and thus far, over the past three years, I have found that CDK is well behind the times and I can't think of anything I like the most other than I have been using it for 14 years and I know how to navigate through it. > > **Cons**: Almost everything, very difficult to find things within CDK that you don't know about. Just the other day I tried to find where I could delete something out of the system, vendor codes/sources, and it took me almost an hour to figure it out even with the "launch code search" function. > > It gets the job done but with a disconnect on all sides.
