Comments: Overall, I have had mixed help but again [sensitive content hidden] helped me immensely this time and I am grateful.

Pros:

I had an issue a couple weeks ago and [sensitive content hidden] helped me through it. He was great to work with and by far has been the most help to me since I started with Wellness Living over a year ago. I am very appreciative for what he was able to do for me with my app.

Cons:

I don't like that it takes a couple days sometimes to get a reply from an original issue.

Not a frontrunner software for myself

Comments: So so. I found their accounting pushy for money as Nuvei whom they work for. I just was getting harassed every day about if I had my documents in order for onboarding. As an entrepreneur, sitting at my computer for 8 hours, going through all I am going through with no support, making my own website, creating everything on my own, I just found this a bit much. ALso this is a company that has received billions of dollars of investments, there is no reason they can't give Canadians a $50 start up fee as well. They're losing absolutely nothing by doing that. They obviously must have. a Canadian banking account if they're paying all these Canadians, and the managing director is Canadian so why am I paying American dollars. I just think it's completely false advertising and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. My yoga studio across the street used to use them. I should ask her why she left but she went to momence. I'm sure pricing had to do with it. Now as for the software. Seemed pretty easy to use and set up but there were limitations. I kept getting messages saying if I wanted to change certain items on my dashboard or with classes, I had to contact my onboarding specialist. I mean for $279/ month I have to contact an onboarding specialist to alter how I wish to list payments, or classes? I thought this really odd.

Pros:

I would not recommend this to a Canadian. My three stars is because it is not cost effective for Canadians. The software is comprehensive. It seems to do just about anything. Makes scheduling classes easy and has many options for extended classes as well as a variety of teachers and staff. Policies are easy to create. Classes are easy to create. Scheduling is made easy. Great automation. Emails seemed okay. Onboarding super helpful. Very user friendly.

Cons:

System can seem a little complex. You have to get your onboarding specialist to unlock certain things, even though you're paying an outrageous price for the software. Nuvei if using them is really pushy. Almost desperate in their selling approach. It is NOT LOCAL. It IS NOT CANADIAN. PRICES ARE IN AMERICAN DOLLARS. I also didn't like that they offered me a $50 start up discount and I even confirmed if I could have this and at 3 months and my first bill was $80.60. When I asked I was told once again, they are an American company and that it is $80.60 in Canadian plus taxes (which I get back) they seem to think! IF i get taxes back, otherwise I get nothing back! SO that left me very unimpressed. An American paying $50 start up fee, if they only have $100 has $50 left. A Canadian paying a so called $50 fee at $80, out of $100 has $20. Not even with exchange does that work out. There is a way they could make it $50 for everyone. Also they have all Canadian staff to make it seem like it's Canadian but it's NOT. I was told initially it was then in the email asking about the $50 start up, I was told it was an American company. You can't edit a class. You have to delete it and add another one to make any changes to it. I couldn't always make the onboarding times as a solo preneur who also has a dog, and maintenance activities in my own home and dealing with my business space that I was trying to set up. I felt like everything was really rushed, and I get they try to get you up and running in two weeks or less, but obviously this works if you have a team. When you're alone, this is not even remotely plausible.

Comments: Decent experience. On-boarding was great but the program didn’t live up to the way I was told it would. Customer service has been great.

Pros:

Matt Tahir was incredibly helpful when trying to find solutions.

Cons:

I wasn’t happy to find out that the services I was sold were all at an additional cost when I was told it was an all-in-one solution. Eg. white label app (to allow event bookings in the app), virtual platform, etc.

I love that Wellness Living includes so many of the features that I would have to pay more for on other platforms. Also, I feel like technology can easily overwhelm me and I find WL very user friendly.

Good Ideas - TERRIBLE Execution

Comments: From the start I had red flags that I ignored. For example, I went to someone else's website to check out how they used WL. Then I "tried" to go to WL's main website and I kept getting redirected back to the website I had visited.
This software did NOT make running my biz easier, I had so many procedures on how to do simple things like matching our daily deposits to the reports from WL b/c nothing was accurate. Updates, OMG, nightmares - whether it was poor design, poor testing b/f rolling out, poor programming or all of the above, I don't know but the number of times they broke (and continue to do so, I left 2 yrs ago) is amazing to me.
What caused me to leave was one of these updates. They broke their recurring class booking - the system would REBOOK clients into classes they'd been removed from. Not only were we accused of doing this ourselves (you physically cannot book a client into a past class), I was told no less than 6 different times this was fixed just to prove it hadn't been. This caused us so much time & money b/c the only way to get rid of the rebookings, was to manually delete each one by hand. They had no way to do this for us.
Now for the ugly truth - WL tries to say they're all about positivity (rainbows & kittens) but IMO they are a toxic company. They constantly blame their customers for issues found until you can prove it's their software. They never look at the issue first, always the end user.
When I finally left, they BEGGED me to stay - told me they'd fix my issue (this was at least 3x of the 6 they told me it was fixed) and once they realized I was a lost cause, they threw up every roadblock possible. They told me they didn't know how to get my cc data b/c they never had clients leave (whatever...) and stonewalled me for MONTHS! I did finally get my data but only once I got the [sensitive content hidden] involved. Like what company requires you to get the [sensitive content hidden] of a company involved to cancel? A toxic one
Stay away - it's been 2 yrs since I left and I still hear from clients about how to leave b/c they aren't able to reach anyone or are getting stonewalled.

Pros:

Pretty colors and design, good concepts/ideas. There are a lot of things to like about WL conceptually. You can book clients into classes ongoing, you can link family members and have a single payment method. They offer events, discounts, gift cards, SMS communication (new) and so much more. But - read the rest of my review please

Cons:

I was with WL for 5 yrs - multiple times a year, I'd even argue every single update, they would break the software. Sometimes it was minor, lots of times it was MAJOR! Every 6 weeks we'd have to brace for an update and figure out what got broken. Sometimes it wasn't even related to the update that was rolled out, their programmers just mucked stuff up. End users were beta testers. God forbid you have an issue, you'll be required to screen shot, video whatever was happening. Oh and don't forget to clear your cache...

The software did not work for my company

Comments: waste my time and money they do not offer free trial because the company have a lot of services they do not stay.

Pros:

The deposit payment for services with automatic remaining.

Cons:

Can not do multiple services check out the client have 5 services have to do one by one, and the reports. It's too big all the software on the screen. The filter the calendar it's to big can not see the apply on the screen have to scroll down and disappear have to start all again.

A++ After being a MindBody client for 15 years we moved to WellnessLiving and never looked back.

The stand out experience is with WL customer support. We know WL is are a living, growing, platform and things are not always perfect. But anytime we have an issue the team leaps into action and helps solve the problems and has a system in place to report any issue to evlivate to DEV Opt team.

Pros:

Customer service is stellar and in real time which is very important for our client care and keeping our business moving forward.

Cons:

Links are a bit buggy for client who use WL at other businesses. This is mostly when you use a link on a mobile phone for a class or event we are marketing. I would also like to be able to generate a link to a day and time, Trainer. Currently it links for services only generate to all.

This scheduling tool is very user friendly and intuitive. There are multiple different ways to view the schedule and different ways to do the same thing which makes it easy for everyone to use.

Cons:

I’d like to offer hybrid (in person and virtual) classes that are under the same class. Right now we have to do two separate classes.

Peace of mind

Pros:

The program is user-friendly. Class and appointment management is easy, so staff started using it with little training. Wellnessliving constantly upgrades and improves the software Reporting is fantastic. Customer service is excellent, and they always answer on time. When I talk about customer service, I have to share this story. I accidentally deleted a whole week of booking..The classes were full, some with a wait list..If you are a studio owner, you can understand how stressful that must have felt: clients losing their booking, double booking, clients showing up in a class they should not be in because it became available on the schedule. I can go on and on about how bad this could have been to my busniss. It was Saturday at 8 pm, and let me give it a try, thinking I would only get help on Monday. To my surprise, the most amazing employee had my back for two hours until the problem was resolved, and everything returned to normal. Therefore, I titled my review peace of mind as this is exactly how I feel about wellness living.

Cons:

The customer and staff app can be glitchy. I think this area needs improvement the most.

Extremely poor customer service, inability to roll out updates well, base product dysfunctional.

Comments: Marketing program works some of the time. That's a problem when you want it working 100% of the time. The customer loyalty/points system doesn't function if the customer is a monthly unlimited member. This company has very unskilled first-level customer service reps that use blaming the business owner as their answer for issues instead of looking into the issue. I used a group on facebook that was run by wl users/business owners and monitored by wl itself (not outright, but through folks that reported to them) and found it to be much more useful. Many times, especially after updates, some of my customers couldn't see/access the booking page. Wellness Living's answer? Have them all delete their cache. In the new system I'm using (WIX Bookings), we haven't had to do that ONCE in almost 1 year. Wl added lots of features that are useless unless you want to pay more money for them. Poor quality at the core.

Pros:

I like the lesson I learned about reading a contract over before signing it based on what any of their representatives said. My fault. Will never do again.

Cons:

The way they would utilize bait and switch tactics to continually increase their prices.

I have used plenty of types, and wellness living is good

Comments: The onboarding was a bit difficult even with a dedicated person to get you set up. They show you how everything works, but it's before you are actually using the software. Once the software is implemented, it's hard to remember everything and your dedicated onboarding guy is no longer there to help. So each issue goes to the service team. Overall things work the way they should and the software is great for most of what we need for our business. you can message and text clients through it, handle billing, and alot more.

Pros:

The customer service is usually right on trying their best to help or point you to the right answer.

Cons:

Some features like attendance tracking, do not work the way I expected and has been a pain, but all the other aspects of it are nice.
