> **Pros**: It is easy enough to set up and use and is pretty straightforward. There isn't a steep learning curve.

> **Cons**: The quirks are annoying after a while though. It times you out even while on the screen working and sometimes you aren't even notified that you are about to time out and if haven't been given that message and press send invoice, it doesn't save any of your work and you have to start over. That's extremely frustrating. Biggest peeve however, is it adds or subtracts a penny between your subtotal and total without rhyme or reason randomly. Not every invoice but every weekly invoicing batch has more than one invoice that is off a penny in either direction.

> **Pros**: Their name is catchy, but a misnomer. The "Simple" is probably a holdover since before they were bought.

> **Cons**: The biggest issue is their customer service. It's complete unresponsive to emails, there are no chat options, and the phone tree is...well, a phone tree.&#10;&#10;As others have mentioned, the pricing is higher than similar services, and not transparent. The fees include a $79 cancellation fee if you don't like their services, a monthly fee whether or not you have any transactions, and these are on top of the fees for each payment they process.&#10;&#10;Also, PaySimple seems to just be a group of vendors. You will receive fees and notices from vendors that do not share their name without understanding that they are part of the group.

> We signed up with PaySimple as a new business in 2024 based on the recommendation of someone who used them years ago. At some point they were acquired by Private Equity and it seems their business model has changed quite a bit.&#10;&#10;We established them as our payment processor before we had customers, and right away noticed fees from them, and three vendors that were affiliated with them started sending us fees as well. We replied to those notices asking for line items, invoice, something associated with the fees to understand how to categorize and/or appropriateness. &#10;&#10;After four (4) unanswered emails over the month, we put a charge dispute in with the bank and immediately received notice that our service was disabled. &#10;We received no reply to our questions about that notice, so we sent a request to cancel the service.&#10;&#10;Within hours of our request to cancel service, PaySimple withdrew $79.95 from our account that was meant to receive customer payments. So it's clear they were receiving the messages. We also started receiving requests for payment from their vendor/partner (it's unclear) named PaySafe who threatened to send us to collections despite acknowledging that we've received no services from them. At least they reply to emails.&#10;&#10;At this point, we've sent multiple unanswered notices asking about fees, formally cancelling the service, and still we've never received an invoice, only continual withdrawals from a bank account until we closed it. &#10;&#10;Sadly, this is the state of affairs when larger companies acquire a bunch of smaller ones and bundle them together with services as a way to charge multiple fees from multiple vendors. I'm sure the customer service department was eliminated all together and my emails are sitting in an unread Inbox along with many others. Please note that the positive reviews on here are several years old, when they were probably under other ownership.

### "A surprisingly useful tool for totally managing credit cards sales." — 5.0/5

> **Pros**: It works as advertised\! The dashboard only focuses on the essentials you need to know about. The overall structure of the package is utterly logical.  You can easily find credit card customers, easily see how much they have purchased, all of the related invoices and the crowning glory of this product is the fact it tells you when the customer actually paid and it tells you immediately. Again the Dashboard is a major feature because it not only has charts for sales but charts for whether the sale closed relative to it being "out there, unpaid". It tracks Settlement Summary, Failed Transactions, Expiring Credit Card Schedules, Recurring Payments, Invoices ( Past Due, Paid, Unpaid, Invoices Sent, and Overdue. There is a past due invoice Aging chart, Unpaid Invoice Exposure. It is very useful to be able to "eyeball" all the possible problems when you have one page showing all the sources of a crisis. &#10;Another positive is that they deal with the Credit Card bank, thus managing security issues such that you never have to fear the dreaded "Clawback" due to your own mistakes. A neat friendly package. &#10; I am so used to poor service from Software companies that I expect it. The service people at Paysimple are very motivated to make you happy. This tells me the management at PaySimple is strong.

> **Cons**: I cannot think of a complaint I have had in two years of use. I wish I could to balance this report with negatives but there are none.  I do wish they had a non-credit card version. Then I could lose my existing accounting package(an expensive subscription).
