The event-based system is easy to pick up, and for 2D games it really does the job well. Exporting to different platforms is also pretty smooth, which is impressive for a free tool. That said, the UI could use some serious polish. The main screens feel a bit cluttered, and at times it’s not very intuitive to find what you’re looking for. If you’re brand new, it can feel slightly overwhelming until you get the hang of it. Compared to engines like Unity or Godot, it doesn’t feel as “professional” or smooth in navigation. On the plus side, it’s open-source and free, which is a huge win in terms of value.
