The biggest roadblock is that you cannot programmatically create or import new drivers or vehicles via the API. Even for a brand-new driver, you are forced to break out of your custom app and manually use their web dashboard or CSV upload to build their profile before the API can interact with them. It also lacks basic endpoints like bulk order retrieval by date, making custom integrations a hassle. > > While OptimoRoute is a capable standalone product for dispatchers, it falls short as a developer platform. We are building a custom app around their routing engine, and the lack of administrative API endpoints forces us into clunky, manual workarounds for onboarding.
