In this day and age where customer service is becoming more unavailable, it is nice to have customer service that you can reach when needed. I think there EHR does give you value for your money and within reason they try to accommodate your clinical needs as a practice. Recently, they have been rolling out some updates that have improve the visual graphical interface, improved workflows and usability. > > **Cons**: Some of the workflows are clunky and not user friendly. 1.) In reminder notifications, date format is YYYY/MM/DD. We frequently have patients who misread the date and miss their appointments because of that. 2.) From a physician's POV, they would prefer that when they pull up a patient, it acts like a paper chart where there are tabs that take you to all relevant aspects of the patients detail rather than have to close windows and open other windows to access information. 3.) The system frequently has glitches that require you to restart a workflow or log out to log back in. 4.) Patients frequently report that they have issues with the log-in workflow of the patient portal and they have to re-do process. 5.) Even though in the portal there is a feature that allows patients to update their demographics, on the clinic side, we are unable to merge that information. Any attempt to do this, gives you the warning that it will create a "new patient". So, you have to manually update any patient demographic changes which defeats the purpose of the patient updating their details via the portal. 6.) When patients use the portal to upload documents, there isn't an effective error message notification that alerts them to the document type that is accepted. Sometimes patients upload docx files which aren't accepted by the system and on the clinic side, it downloads as a text documents with unreadable text. > > Overall our clinic has a fairly decent experience with NovoClinical.
