> **Pros**: Opensource and free. Accessible from the most of the operating systems. CAD and Mesh generation tools are  prosperous. Python interface enable to user create own script.

> **Cons**: Bugs for windows OS. Always includes error coming with previously saved files. Mesh generation is not superior for complex geometry.

> **Pros**: Al implementar SALOME en las actividades de investigación, es cada vez mas común que sobre este gire el desarrollo de la misma, dado que desde el mismo, se construye el dominio computacional, se programan las actividades, se eligen y ajustan los modelos de solución, se administra el manejo de cada simulación y se da la visualización de los resultados. Todo ello, gracias a la integración de cada una de sus herramientas, y al rápido y efectivo manejo de los datos.

> **Cons**: Un modulo que recientemente he estado manejando es  ADAO, cuya área de trabajo es la asimilación de datos (data assimilation). Al iniciar la herramienta y crear un nuevo caso, la presentación de sus parámetros y propiedades a modificar, hace que resulte verdaderamente un reto ingresar estos datos de manera correcta, lo cual, hace que también resulte común generar  errores momento de exportar el caso a un esquema YACS.
> 
> La plataforma SALOME ha sido el eje sobre el cual, ha girado el desarrollo de actividades en investigación, gracias a la comunicación de cada uno de los módulos que maneja,  mismos, que facilitan en gran medida el desarrollo de  proyectos en simulación numérica. Que simplemente a servido para catapultar la eficiencia en el estudio de esta área, donde,  solo algunos se atreven a tocar.
