Hevo Reviews for Indian Users
great if you don't have a data engineer
Comments: Very good for our use case. We don't have a data engineer and want to transfer data from few places into BigQuery
Pros:
very easy to set up. Covers 95% of cases and with python you can cover another 4%... just 1% left that you can do at source or destination.
Cons:
lack CI/CD tools to do infra as code. Hard (if even possible) to back it up. Not useful logs.
Ease of Use
Pros:
Easy to integrate new pipelines and has good support for Mongo and Trello as well
Cons:
Schema mapper sometimes picks the incorrect schema
Good product for small data sets
Comments: Their customer support team is great with quick turnaround time.
Pros:
Easy to setup and no/low code approach is what works for someone just starting with Data engineering.
Cons:
reliability has been a concern with Hevo with downtimes, bugs, corner cases and missed events. It doesn't seem to work well at scale.
First time Building ETLs with Hevo
Pros:
Extremely Easy to build pipelines from various data sources. Easy to debug and resync in case of failures.
Cons:
L2 Documentation for certain data sources seem to be a bit outdated.
Hevo Review

1:- Cannot define Dist Style and sort keys in Models while creating Tables on Destination.
Great tool for data engineers
Pros:
ease of use, lot of end to end management is done by the platform.
Cons:
could be more enhanced, still in early stages from what I see on the platform.

Pros:
Hevo is easy to use with its intuitive, no-code interface. It supports a wide range of data sources and ensures real-time, reliable data transfer. Additionally, Hevo offers excellent customer support
Cons:
Hevo can be expensive for small businesses or startups with limited budgets.
Ease of ELT with Hevo Data
Comments: Very happy with the tool where as I mentioned that I can integrate any source data in matter of minutes
Pros:
We can integrate source data into data warehouse in a matter of minutes which was unthinkable few years back. Hevo has lot of connectors that we can get source data and ingest into the data warehouse
Cons:
Transformation and lineage can be little better
Great tool for moving data, Beautiful UX
Comments: I love hevo. Its the best no code ETL tool I have tried ever
Pros:
Usabilidad, suppport, UX. Not need training
Cons:
Maybe will be better to have a low cost plan
Hevo Pipeline Review
Pros:
User friendly interface Easy to build Pipeline Faster
Cons:
Sometime Data compatibility issue which CSV for date_time field
Alternatives Considered:
Hevo helped us solve our ETL needs.
Pros:
Hevo offers a fair pricing model with competitive features, along with a seamless data integration experience that complies with many data privacy groups. The ability to transform data using python code, auto map object data, and do this all in a user-friendly interface is wonderful. Hevo also ensures pure privacy with data which is vital when using cloud storage integrations.
Cons:
There was not much to dislike about the software.
Hevo - The best EtLT and ELT tool
Comments: overall my experience is good, we are ingesting data with fb ads, and google adsense, and instagram and salesforce
Pros:
i really like the nice and easy UI to setup pipeline, apart from it I really like their schema mapper function also the latest transformation drag and drop UI
Cons:
I don't like that they don't do data qc or do not provide feature to setup data quality rules like glue and databricks does
Quick customer support and constantly evolving features
Pros:
As a person with little ETL experience, Hevo made the process of building pipelines from various sources seamless. When I run into any issues, their customer support team is quick to respond and usually resolves my issue on the spot. If not, they escalate the issue which also gets a quick response.
Cons:
Some features are a little tricky to implement at times, like manual mapping, feature transformation. But I'm usually able to get assistance from customer support.
Alternatives Considered:
Great ETL Tool
Comments: very good
Pros:
Great UI , Customer service , Chat help , easy integration , all connector available , python ytansformation
Cons:
streaming feature we need to inject real time data from kafka
Great Tool
Pros:
Great Customer Support in case of problems
Cons:
It is quite expensive per row so the quality of the support really matters.
Hevo is a critical in connecting data sources across the org with each other and our warehouse!
Pros:
We have multiple pipelines and connections with almost every piece of software across our organization. Hevo makes it possible for us to keep everything up to date and helps to centralize our reporting by brining current data into our warehouse for day to day analysis and reporting.
Cons:
We have very few problems with Hevo. If we have any trouble it's almost always related to our usage limits.
Great product to be found
Comments: Really good
Pros:
I really liked that its the only product made for non-technical users since its the only one I could install into my systems
Cons:
So far I think it needs more integrations
Hevo- A smart and convenient ETL tool
Comments: it's overall a very good experience working with Hevo. Hevo support is very helpful in case of any failure.
Pros:
Creating new data pipelines in Hevo is very easy and super fast. We need to just give connection details and boom!!! pipeline is ready to use within minutes.
Cons:
Hevo should give detailed information about each run like when did exactly it start and end to calculate the overall time taken.
Easy to use
Pros:
Ease of use, simple integration, simple transformation
Cons:
facing issues with deleted or changed entries(events) in the production database, as hevo_marked_delted is not getting updated for all entries and need to connect with cx care for this. For transform only having python 2.8, It should be of the latest version
Hevo is an impressive feature-packed product with great UX
Pros:
1) Self serve product with super UX - we were able to start our pipelines by ourselves within a day 2) Detailed documentation for every source / destination with appropriate up-to-date references 3) Was impressed by the overall speed - after submitting a job to queue, it picks up the job almost immediately 4) Transformation supports Python which is great, data can be manipulated by custom scripts 5) Full visibility and control over the entire pipeline 6) Schema mapper is great, auto-mapping works for most of the use cases. Manual mapping is also possible. It shows and asks user to confirm what query it is going to execute at the destination, which is good 7) Workbench available to run queries at the destination, custom data models available to create "views" from destination tables
Cons:
1) Didn't quite like the limit on number of sources in plans 2) Schema mapper doesn't have an option to change column types at the destination
An Amazing ETL tool
Comments: We are using hevo to get Data seamlessly from our transactional DB to our datawarehouse. Hevo is reliable and plays an important part in our data pipelines.
Pros:
The best thing I like about Hevo is the ease of use and the integrations that are avaialble for multiple sources, which makes the ETL seamless.
Cons:
In Schema Mapper/Overview tab in each pipeline, an option to skip muliple collections at a time using a check box might be a good feature which will be very helpful for us, otherwise its now taking lot of manaul effort to skip them if needed in a pipeline.

UI can be a bit improved for the transformational aspect of data
Great tool for someone without ETL and Python skills
Comments: Awesome product for my simple needs. Great customer service.
Pros:
Hevo allowed me to set up an ETL without having a coding (python) skillset. I was able to connect spreadsheets to my DB preventing me inputting by hand or contracting out the ETL development. Customer service was awesome!
Cons:
I imagine I might find some cons as I continue to use the software, but I don't really have any yet. May more options for data types in the destinations???
Good quality product that doesn't cost a lot.
Comments: Very good. It often fixes problems on it's own without intervention, and is very consistent.
Pros:
Simple interface. Fast customer service.
Cons:
Auto mapping sometime acts up, but customer service is very helpful and fixes it.
Alternatives Considered:
Simple and powerful
Pros:
Hevo helps our team set up our pipeline in the most simplistic way possible
Cons:
The price is a bit on the expensive side, but the features they offered are good
