I like that there are many niche extensions that can also be added to Inkscape and that the community supports the open source, with regular updates still being made. For example, I converted a small embroidering team to using this platform and significantly cut down their monthly software costs. The tool itself has a learning curve which is comparable to Adobe products, but it is an easy transition if you are familiar with competitor products.
