Its built to be easy to use and the AI is actually pretty good in taking text and generating a video. Lots of objects, backgrounds and media to choose from and easy to upload your own content. > > **Cons**: Customer Support is severely lacking with inconsistent live chat availability and slow response times to problems. At 3pm CST every day they seem to close up shop the platform goes from being kinda glitchy a d stable to almost unusable. There are assets that you can't get access to lime "Particles" because they just don't exist. The platform doesn't save your work properly and automatically so you have to constantly re-save your work. While editing if you change the font at all it will undo all your other changes to the font like special effects, making the text bold and transitions. Once you are done creating a video you then have to export/render (which is super, super confusing when you start). Now imagine you have spent hours and hours working on a video only for it not to render correctly over and over and over again. I can show screenshots of how 3 out of 20 renders might be successful. If you aren't careful you can easily publish a video that is not the video you created rather a choppy, incomplete video with missing scenes and errors. Only when you make short videos, with few assets and transitions will it work correctly. > > It has not been good, very frustrating and I am saying this as a "super user". I suppose good reviews are from folks who barely used the platform and was just enchanted by the initial experience of making a short, simple video that didn't need to use all of the features. But if you use all of the features you will find that it may be one of the most frustrating platforms you have ever worked with. The autosave would not work part of the time, even saving it didn't always work. There were also times when recording voice overs, the recording would not save. The restriction of slides only being 30 seconds made explaining complex issues difficult, but could be worked around. > > When we first bought rawshorts it seemed like a godsend compared our graphics design artist and executive director spending all day recording and editing a 3 minute update video. The system was always buggy but had good graphics and usually had descent automated customer service. After using the system for about two years though, everything seemed to go down hill and we ended up cancelling our subscription to the platform. When we canceled our subscription they did not want to refund the remaining funds on our account. It took several phone calls and emails of us arguing with them to get them to begrudgingly refund the money. We eventually switched to Moovly and while it has its moments, it is light years better than Raw Shorts.
