With WordPress as a core, actions and filters, it can be customised to any business needs. I've worked with tens of businesses that have massive product catalogue and it never lets me down. > > **Cons**: Woocommerce has the biggest market share in the world. Despite that, it lacks a basic native feature of inventory logging. While there are plugins available but this should have been shipped by Woocommerce team themselves. After all, native feature get support like no others. > > Woocommerce and I go a long way\! I have seen it grown for many years. In comparison to Magento and others, Woocommerce is the best. Some of the other open source products break things after updates and one would have to rush to fix everything but Woocommerce is stable for the most part. Updates rarely break things if you have considered stable plugins and eco system. For a business, at the end of the day, they want their store up and running with lots of orders incoming. Woocommerce delivers that\! ----- ### "Great Bolt-On Ecommerce Tool for Wordpress" — 4.0/5 > **Micah** | *11 September 2026* | Marketing & Advertising | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10 > > **Pros**: I love how it is the go-to system for the greatest CMS on earth - Wordpress. It makes launching a website and selling ecommerce in the same instance easier > > **Cons**: I don't like how it does not have as many features as competing alternative ecommerce tools, I think it has a little way to go to get as many integrations and ease of use > > It is a great tool to bolt onto the greatest CMS on earth, wordpress, but it lacks more advanced ecommerce features ----- ### "WooCommerce Usage Review" — 4.0/5 > **Dean** | *28 August 2026* | Consumer Services | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10 > > **Pros**: We use WooCommerce for our site and payment processing. It is easy to use and we were able to to customize our front and backend of our site with ease. > > **Cons**: It took a min to go through and understand all the features that they offer. Some of the features you have to upgrade to use them. ----- ### "If you are just starting out or need Wordpress, woo commerce is your main option, otherwise if you can move to something better" — 3.0/5 > **Francesco** | *4 February 2026* | Arts & Crafts | Recommendation rating: 5.0/10 > > **Pros**: It is free, easy to setup (at least at the beginning) and you can start getting payment right away with a plethora of payment gateways > > **Cons**: It is very hard to customize or adapt to your own business model. A simple thing like removing some fields from the checkout can be a painful process even with plugins > > I needed to use woo commerce but it's an old platform that even if has been made "modern looking" it is still too clunky. ----- ### "The best (and only) truly free ecommerce plugin" — 5.0/5 > **Austin** | *30 June 2026* | Marketing & Advertising | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10 > > **Pros**: It's overall the best bang for the buck ecommerce Software available. It allows more technical users to be able to customize it using code, as well as less technical users to add on features through the WordPress plugin repository. > > **Cons**: Websites with a lot of products can experience site speed issues, however, this sometimes can be dependent on the hosting environment. Integration with 3rd party shipping platforms can sometimes be difficult. > > Whether you have a web development background or not, WooCommerce can be a great place to start selling if you have an existing WordPress website. ----- Page: 1 / 43\ Next: [Next page](https://www.capterra.in/software/187800/woocommerce?page=2) ## Links - [View on Capterra](https://www.capterra.in/software/187800/woocommerce) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | de | | | de-AT | | | de-CH | | | en | | | en-AE | | | en-AU | | | en-CA | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-IL | | | en-IN | | | en-NZ | | | en-SG | | | en-ZA | | | es | | | es-AR | | | es-CL | | | es-CO | | | es-CR | | | es-DO | | | es-EC | | | es-MX | | | es-PA | | | es-PE | | | fr | | | fr-BE | | | fr-CA | | | fr-LU | | | it | | | nl | | | nl-BE | | | pt | | | pt-PT | | ----- ## Structured Data
