So it's easy to use. Unfortunately we don't know all the possibilities the Animana software is offering us. Typically veterinarians are people that like to be told how things can be used in stead of reading through a manuscript. So , I think it would be an improvement to have twice yearly a meeting with an account (?) manager to go through all the daily processes. We, for instance, fail in having the storage ( = voorraad )-tool starting up. Out of Rx works we were used to work with perfectly letters lay out. In Animana, for as far as I know, that's a weak point. I can't think of a reasonable explanation why a practice with a huge turnover has to pay much more than a small practice. I think it would be more fair ( and more difficult ) to calculate a fee on the result . ----- ### "Animana for PIMS" — 4.0/5 > **Harold** | *9 March 2015* > > We have been using Animana for 5 years now and we are still very content with it. Conversion from our old PIMS was very smooth. Our nurses needed only two hours to get the hang of it and were able to use the program after that without further training (allthough I would advise to follow the trainingscourse). Use of Animana is very intuitive. Support has allways been quick and freindly, even with stupid questions. Lab equipment is easily connected to Animana, as are radiographs and ultrasoundimages. Animana is still being developed further: new updates appear allmost every 3 months and are free of charge\! Are there no drawbacks then? Offcourse there are, but they are minor compared to the ease of use and facilitation of workflow. Reports are not allways easy to genarate, especially if you want to find that one special dog, you can't remember the name of, with a lame left leg that has been using Rimadyl for no more than seven weeks in a row in the last five years. Cost of datastorage is pretty high compared to the free storage you get from Dropbox and the like. So be carefull about storing your radiographs and ultrasound. They require a lot of dataspace. Using the custom reminders to send e-mails or text messages to warn your customers about vaccination, worm treatment or flea treatment, right from Animana. Even newsletters can be sent directly from Animana. No need to use seperate messaging software. Storage data and financial data can be extracted from Animana to evaluate how your practice is doing. This is for me a very big advantage. Its a product which is easy to use and very complete. What I still miss is the option to produce balance sheets and profit and loss account at any given time in a year. The support is great and I have the feeling that they listen to my input and try to resolve the issues I have.
