> **Cons**: Total frustration with recent updates adding more steps to basic functions and changing the design to make core functions multiple button clicks, while obsuring what the user should do.

> We have been using Acctivate since 2017 and was so frustrated we ended our maintenance contract. A windows update 'broke' the ability to print, so we signed up again.&#10;Updates in 2023 changed some workflows but we managed.&#10;When the most recent update (12.3) came out in 2024 and we lost prior functionality and new workflows are harder, we have once again ended our maintenance contract.&#10;&#10;I will sum up my experience with Acctivate, both using the program and interacting with the company, with this simple-to-understand issue:&#10;As a customer, as a user of the 'internets', (And as a person with common sense)&#10;I use support ticket interfaces almost daily. While Acctivate has a support ticket system, once support has answered my ticket, MY INITIAL post as a customer is hidden from view.&#10;Think about that - The company removes (hides) my initial request for support and all the effort that goes into asking for help from me, so that when I read the answer the support ticket, I can't read what I first wrote\! Fast forward a few days and I get a helpful email that says \[sensitive content hidden\]' has not been updated in several days, should we close it?&#10;UMMM - what is that ticket for?&#10;&#10;I have posted well over 120 support tickets, few of which have ever been addressed. And they are closed without a resolution and no answer from the company.&#10;&#10;I WANT to be an advocate for Acctivate. I WANT to be able to recommend them.&#10;We have invested 7+ years in developing a system that works, but they don't seem to be able to design a GUI that leverages the power of the info in the system. They have not receptive to detailed requests for improvements that would make thing less confusing and easier to use.&#10;I don't think it would take much to make it better, but when each new update changes our workflow and requires more work to do so, with less clarity while doing it? &#10;&#10;Sadly, I don't know what system out there is better.&#10;The two stars are because it does do SOMETHING - it just takes quite a bit of work to get there.

> **Pros**: The CRM feature is okay and on the sales rep end of things the program makes sense but it isn't any better than any other CRM than you would be able to purchase on the market. There are some good features on here that help navigate customers and view products purchased. There are a lot of reports available but they aren't as easy to customize as other programs we've used in the past.

> **Cons**: It's clunky and feels like an old legacy program. It glitches out constantly and seems to do crash the most when you are in the middle of something time-sensitive. It's not very easy to navigate and the program isn't very intuitive. We purchased a program that was a $1500-$3000 add-on and was strung along by IT Support who were acting like they were working on it the whole time. A day or so after the refund period had ended they told us that the program was actually oversold and it has never truly worked so now we have a program that we can't use and cost us a few thousand dollars. They just brushed us off when we told them the feature didn't work as promised. Also, when we were transferring over our inventory the IT Support transferred over the inventory multiple times which has still caused issues until this day. &#10;&#10;When you put in a help ticket, do not expect any sort of support or response in a timely manner.

> The Acctivate program that was promised as an out of the box easy to use program is one that caused nothing but headaches throughout the implementation process. Do we feel more comfortable with our inventory counts? Yes. &#10;&#10;Do we feel we could have bought something better for the same $15000-$18000 that we spent on this program? Absolutely.&#10;&#10;Would I recommend this program to anyone else that I know? Absolutely not.

> **Pros**: Software is filled with many intuitive features that cover a wide variety of of business uses in everything from order processing to inventory management.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Inventory management includes ability to manage using bins and multiple physical or virtual warehouses. This is a strong feature for an application in this price range.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;The ability to create custom fields in virtually every section of the software helps resolve many challenges, and the fields are, in most cases, can be made to appear in reports.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Has a great order management module that can be customized for specific views and allow for both visibility and batch management of open sales order.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Mobile/handheld support allowed our warehouse to switch from manual to scanned picking, which greatly improved accuracy and accountability.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Software supports ODBC connectivity which provide a solid work around for the software's lack of strong out-of-the-box reports (see below)&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;In conclusion, if you are a small to mid-size business that has outgrown Quickbooks, you really cant go wrong with ACCTivate. So long as your Quickbooks data is clean and organized, migration is quick and painless.

> **Cons**: Out of the box reporting is a bit limited depending on your needs. Very basic reports are fine and they are accurate, but if your business has complex or custom logics by which you evaluate performance, you will need to hire a report writer (Crystal Reports) to build your report templates.&#13;&#10; &#13;&#10;No real audit trail tracking/reporting so seeing who did what can be a challenge.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Lacks ability to restrict certain permissions that can lead to accidental or deliberate manipulation of data resulting in order processing errors.

> We were able to greatly improve visibility of our performance allowing us to focus resources in the areas that needed help. The quality and consistency of our output also improve dramatically. Probably the one area that had the most drastic improvement has been our warehouse. The ACCTivate our inventory is the most accurate it has ever been and order processing accuracy has also improve dramatically with the use of the mobile scanners.
